destructive! luffy vs. kaido | one piece concept
truly humbled to be selected as one of the 20 artists for UNWALL and to be part of this meaningful fundraising initiative. this opportunity came as a surprise, and i’m incredibly thankful to @vansphilippines @likhaanph @paderfigure @astburyph

i’ve always been drawn to movements like this that go beyond art-making and create real impact—something that transforms both the community and my artistic path.

the online bidding auction is still ongoing until dec 21. part of the proceeds will be donated to support relief, recovery, and rehabilitation efforts for families and communities in cebu and negros affected by typhoons tino and uwan.

for the auction link and more details, kindly check my bio or visit @likhaanph

a special artwork for Former Prime Minister Tarō Asō🇯🇵
“16x24”
Oil & Acrylic on canvas

this is truly such an honor, and I am beyond grateful for this opportunity. thank you sir @originstoriess and JCI President @sirluis for choosing and trusting me to be the artist for this project.

I’m really glad I was able to execute the original concept I had in mind, which was approved, and to finish the piece in just 3 days despite being given a 10-day timeline, all while balancing school and other work commitments. I must say, the lack of sleep was definitely worth sacrificing!

before sending my sketch and draft, I researched everything I could about PM Tarō Asō, including his background, leadership style, and personal influences, to know him better and to respectfully honor his culture. this allowed me to carefully incorporate meaningful elements into the portrait, making it more personal, nostalgic, and memorable for him. every subject and detail painted on the canvas represents his hobbies, interests, and characteristics.

I really enjoyed the entire process of creating this painting, especially as a fan of anime and manga myself, which we share as a common interest.

this is the kind of concept I usually create for my clients who want a portrait of themselves, especially if they are unsure of what they want, so that the artwork truly resonates with them. taken in Japan by @rustydaplague

this painting is a tribute to my two beloved dogs, whose passing left a profound emptiness in my life. the cream-colored leopard represents my male chow chow, who passed away just last month, while the dark blue-gray leopard symbolizes my female american bully, who passed away in june of last year. losing them has been one of the most painful experiences I’ve endured, especially because I witnessed them slowly grow weaker until they took their final breaths. their absence continues to weigh heavily on me, and this work serves as a way of honoring their memory.

their heads are joined together to represent the inseparable bond they shared. these two were truly inseparable—always playing, staying close to one another, and moving through life as if they were one. the collar symbolizes their friendship, loyalty, and the unbreakable connection they had with each other.

the leopards’ fierce and aggressive expressions intentionally contrast with my dogs’ true personalities. in reality, they were both incredibly gentle, affectionate, and well-behaved companions. the chain represents how protective they were of me, serving as a symbol of the love and security they gave throughout their lives.

on each edge of the canvas are gladiolus flowers, representing grief, remembrance, and death, while also symbolizing strength, resilience, and the enduring love that remains even after loss. by @rustydaplague
