Update! Thank you to everyone for your great comments and suggestions! It’s been really incredibly helpful! It’s such an amazing thing to know you have such an engaged and supportive community behind you. I knew reaching out to you was the right thing to do❣️❣️❣️❣️ I’ve decided to keep the yarn, for now, and see how things go through the winter. You can expect a full restock in the next few weeks. Thank you all 🙏 Hey Cumberland knitters and crocheters I need your help! As you may or may not know there is a brand new yarn store in town, Wool & Waves Yarn Store which is just down the street from me, beside Boulder Hill Bakery. It’s operated by the lovely Kristine. She carries great yarn and notions and is a very accomplished knitter with tons of knowledge to share. I carry a small selection of yarn,I’m not the best knitter, but I can crochet up a storm and help you with your crochet questions. If I can’t give you an answer I can help you to find it. What I need your help with is this…should I continue to carry yarn and notions? Or let Kristine do that and pivot to something else that there is a need for in the village? Right now I carry a very eclectic assortment of products that make me happy 😍 clothing from Canadian brands, cleaning supplies from Vancouver Island, local jewelry and art and other handmade products made in the valley and on the Island and of course yarn. I enjoy supporting other small businesses and will continue to do that always but I am unsure whether Cumberland needs 2 places selling yarn.
