Our last senior sendoff is dedicated to the one and only Sean Swenarton. Sean is an Exercise Science major and will be working with Shore Atlantic Athletic Club as a marketing and partnership coordinator!
Throughout his tenure in the running club he has worked his way up to President and leaving big shoes to fill. His dedication and contribution to this club spans from funny memories to mentoring advice. We wish you the best in your future!

“This club has meant so much to me over these past four years and is truly where I found my people at Rutgers. I am so very grateful for everyone that I’ve had the opportunity to interact with as apart of this club and I have made many friends for life. To late nights at Delafield, Penn State crashes, 24x200, and towpath long runs this club had given me almost every experience possible and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I want to again thank the EBoards I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of. The constant dedication to the club is incredible and we have truly set this club up for success in the future. I can’t wait to support the club as an alumni 🙌 🌆

Our next Senior Sendoff is dedicated to Lesley Cordova. Lesley is an Exercise Science Major and after graduation she will be working as a medical assistant full time as well as applying to master programs for Physician Assistant studies.

Throughout her tenure in the running club Lesley has served as both Woman’s Captain and Vice President.
“During my time at Rutgers, the running club showed me just how important it is to have a community on campus. I’m incredibly grateful to have met people who continually pushed me to become a better runner and a better person. This club became so much more than just a place to train, it became a support system that encouraged me to grow, challenge myself, and create beautiful memories. I’m thankful for the friendships I’ve made and hope they last a lifetime.” by @rutgersrunning

Our next Senior Sendoff goes to Avery Groves. Avery is Geography major and plans to apply to graduate school for Geography/Geospatial Information Systems.

“It feels crazy to say now, but after my senior year of high school, and that absolutely disastrous final race, I really did not like running, and especially racing. I wanted to join the running club, because I hoped that maybe I could refind my love for the sport, but I was pretty skeptical. But the change came immediately. Within just a few months, I was running more than I ever had ran before, and had never felt better when doing it. And if you had told me in freshman year that I would have not only started racing again, but liking it, and breaking almost every PR I had, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. But somehow, that positive change that RRC brought me to my health and fitness is only second to the community that it introduced me to. Everybody on the club, from those I still talk to everyday, to those who may have spoken to me once, contributed to community and my enjoyment of it.” by @rutgersrunning

Our next Senior Sendoff goes to Shannon DelGuercio. Shannon is an English and Political Science major and minored in Economics. This fall she plans to return to Rutgers to complete her Masters in Public Policy.

“Beginning college, I genuinely believed my days of team running were over, but I am so glad I was wrong. Even though I only joined my junior year, this club has truly shaped my experience at Rutgers for the better. My memories of easy sunset runs after long days of class and homework, team dinners after practice on Busch, and Arbor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas parties will long stick with me. It is the people, however, that make these memories so fond. Running club has allowed me to strengthen old friendships and form new ones. Here, I met kind, funny, warm people I may have never crossed paths with otherwise, and for that I am truly grateful. From brief conversations to long nights out, this club has proven itself to have the most welcoming members who always have the most fun:) I will miss everyone so much next year, but definitely can’t wait to visit while I’m at grad school!” by @rutgersrunning
