This September marks 5 years since my mom started A Certain Woman Conference.

Many people don’t know that the conference was birthed from one of the hardest seasons our family has ever experienced.

Several years ago (multiple times), I went through traumatic mental health episodes that completely changed our lives. While I was fighting battles I didn’t fully understand, my parents and siblings became caregivers overnight. They experienced the uncertainty, fear, exhaustion, and heartbreak that often comes with loving someone through a difficult season.

Yet through it all, they never stopped believing God’s Word. They would declare over and over that I am already healed, even when they couldn’t yet see the full picture.

Every year, this conference has addressed topics that many people quietly carry—mental health, infertility, autism awareness, domestic violence, and other real-life challenges women face.

This year, the theme is Pressure to Power—learning how to live a life of purpose even when life feels heavy.

The timing couldn’t be more fitting.

I’m living in prayers that I once cried for, yet I’m also standing at a crossroads, facing decisions that will change the course of my life. If I’m honest, I’ve allowed stress to become louder than my trust in God. Somewhere along the way, I realized my faith slowly shifted from “God, I trust You completely” to “God, I trust You when it makes sense to me.”

I don’t want to live that way anymore.

I’m choosing to surrender again. To trust Him again. To believe that pressure doesn’t have to produce fear—it can produce purpose.

If you’ve been carrying the weight of life, wrestling with uncertainty, or simply need to be reminded that God is still writing your story, I truly believe this intimate gathering is for you.

March 6, 2026. 🌻

Honored to have executed this luxurious backdrop and designed a befitting cake to honor my sister, Ruth, earlier this year. I love Ruth with my whole heart and was privileged to celebrate all that God has done and is doing in and through her life.

Because I live in Georgia, supporting this vision in Maryland stretched me—in the best way. Between transporting décor, coordinating inventory, and collaborating with Jesse, Olushola, and Chialuka, bringing everything together required considerable faith and teamwork.

At one point, I remember wondering out loud, “Has the grace lifted?” 😅 I had no vision for the table décor and couldn’t effectively guide those willing to help.

Then the Lord reminded me:

𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐈 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐈 𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞’𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞.

So I released the table décor to Olushola and Chialuka and focused on the backdrop and styling the cake. Once I let go, everything shifted. This wasn’t just about décor—it became a lesson in returning to the Source of my creativity so I could bear fruit where He had entrusted me.

As I grow in abiding in Christ, I’m learning that He reveals what to steward and what to release. Sometimes faith looks like trusting others with part of the vision so I can faithfully execute the assignment He’s given me.

Celebrating my sister was truly a delight, and seeing every detail come together reminded me once again that Jesus truly makes 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐘-𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋. 🙌🏾

Happy 35th, RuthiePoo. You are deeply loved and worthy of double honor. 🌻

The process…🤎

Over the last few years, the Lord has gently reminded me that I can know His voice, seek His Word, and trust the direction He places in my heart.

There is wisdom in godly counsel, and my husband is always the first person I share with and receive feedback from. At the same time, I have learned that when the Lord leads you, you do not have to have every detail figured out before you obey.

This move is a reminder that trusting God does not always mean having all the answers—it means knowing He does. Even in uncertainty, His direction brings peace. 🤎

DivineHairCare is stepping into a new level, and I am so grateful for what the Lord is building. From glory to glory.

I declare greater heights for everyone reading this, in Jesus’ name. Amen 🙌🏾

Healthy hair care can still feel elevated. ✨

Within the Crown & Flourish Signature Session, this guest chose a soft two-strand twist style with a front cornrow design—using her own hair while prioritizing moisture, low tension, scalp comfort, and length retention.

Protective styling should support the journey, not work against it. 🤎

I love you, Daddy. I simply want to say thank you. 🥹♥️

Thank you for teaching me the ways of God, not only through your words, but through the way you have lived, prayed, led, and loved. So much of who I am, what I value, and how I continue to return to God has been shaped by the foundation you gave me.

You have truly been everything and more—a father, protector, provider, teacher, encourager, and a steady reminder of what faith looks like in real life. Thank you for covering me in prayer, believing in me, correcting me with love, and always being someone I could look to for wisdom and direction.

I am so grateful that God chose you to be my dad. Your sacrifices, your obedience to Him, and the love you have poured into our family will never be overlooked. I pray the Lord continues to strengthen you, honor you, and bless you for every seed you have planted in us. Later this year we are honoring you and celebrating your 70th year of life. I’m so grateful 🙌🏾

I love you so much, Daddy. Happy Father’s Day to one of the greatest gifts God has given me. ♥️ @apostlejoshuanathan by @ruth.adaoma

Words truly fail me because I could write a dissertation trying to express my gratitude and love for you.

I am so thankful that the Lord chose you to be my person, my husband, and the father of our beautiful, amazing and intelligent children. Thank you for your sacrifice, your steady support, and the way you continue to show up for our family—especially in this season of building, stretching, believing, and allowing the Lord to lead us through every part of the journey.

You are a man of prayer, faith, and conviction. I have watched you seek God, trust Him, and lead our home with a heart that truly and wholeheartedly loves Jesus. That means more to me than I could ever put into words. I have such peace knowing that our home is being built on a strong foundation—not because we are perfect, but because Jesus is at the center of it all.

Thank you for being my covering, my encouragement, my safe place, and honestly, my personal pastor. Thank you for praying for me, speaking life over me, reminding me of truth when I need it most, and helping lead our family back to God in every season.

My prayer is that the Lord continues to grow me into an even better wife for you—that I would love you deeply, serve you intentionally, honor you well, and be a source of peace, joy, and encouragement in your life. Not because I do not love or appreciate you now, but because loving you well is a gift and responsibility I never want to take lightly.

We are so blessed to have you. Happy Father’s Day to the man who loves God, loves his family, and continues to build with faith. We love you so much. 🤎 by @ruth.adaoma

rest is holy.

“On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.”

“Unless you become like little children…” — Matthew 18:3 🤍

Watching our babies run freely, laugh loudly, and enjoy the simple gifts of life reminds me why Jesus pointed us back to childlike faith — pure, trusting, joyful, and full of wonder.

Today, we celebrate our sweet Neriah turning 2 🎉
What a gift she is. What a gift they both are.

There is beauty in slowing down long enough to be still, to listen, and to make room for what God is doing. 🤍

I’m so grateful to the Lord for where He is taking DivineHairCare.

When I became certified as a holistic scalp specialist in January and began revamping the business, I had no idea it would blossom into what it is becoming now.

Since launching The Crown & Flourish Experience in February, this season has been beautiful, stretching, and full — rebuilding a business and balancing the many hats that I wear on a consistent basis.

And if I’m honest… rest is something I deeply value and truly need.

I don’t believe we are called to operate from hustle, pressure, or constant striving. There is wisdom in pausing, stewarding well, and making room for what God is building.

With that being said, DivineHairCare will be pausing New Client Retreats for the month of July as we transition into something even more beautiful.

During this time, appointments will be limited and focused on current established clients.

New Client Retreats will resume in August, along with some beautiful new things I’m excited to share soon.

For those interested in being added to the priority list for when August dates open — before they are released to the public — please see the pinned comment below.

Thank you for your continued love, patience, and support as DivineHairCare continues to grow and flourish. 🌿

I was in the middle of prepping my hair and makeup for Mother’s Day and I kept hearing the Lord say these words to me: “don’t give up.” 🤍

As some of you may know, I’m a wife, mother of two, working full-time while building my business and serving in ministry — and truthfully, some days feel heavier than others.

There are moments where I want to give up because I’m currently in a season of rebuilding, restructuring, and establishing things intentionally so that one day, when I step away from my 9–5, the business can continue to grow with or without me.

And that process can feel exhausting at times.

But I’ve learned that not every season is meant to look glamorous. Some seasons are about building foundations, developing discipline, remaining obedient, and trusting God even when things feel slow.

So if you’re in a stretching season too, this is your reminder:
don’t give up before the harvest 🙏🏾

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9 by @ruth.adaoma
