November really feels like I've lined my ducks up in a row rather delightfully... I'm kicking off the month on Sunday 1st November (between 11 am and 1 pm) by modelling for @wildlinesart for the second time - but at a brand new venue - @bibelot_leek - which looks fantastic! It's always a pleasure to model for Amber's classes, so I'm really looking forward to this one! On Tuesday 3rd November, I'm driving over to the Wirral to model for the Hoylake group at Melrose Hall, between 1 pm and 3 pm that day. Was really chuffed to be asked to model for them back in September - so of course I had to book a day of annual leave off work to make it so! On Thursday 5th November (between 7 pm and 9 pm), I'm returning to @theartexchangewakefield at @westgateartstudios for my fifth time modelling for them. One of my favourite groups to model at - and I can't wait to grace them with my latest poses! On Friday 6th November, I'm driving across to Louth in Lincolnshire to model for the group at The Art Nook, between 7 pm and 9 pm. This is my first time modelling for them, and I'm really looking forward to it. Saturday 7th November is my debut modelling for @now_draw_ at @_thewellbeingspace in Macclesfield, between 11 am and 1 pm. I'm super excited for this one - @susannah__pal's classes look amazing, and the venue looks absolutely gorgeous. On Sunday 8th November, I'm driving over to St Helens to model for @helon_wilson71's group at Artist Led St Helens - another new one for me, and I can't wait! Tuesday 10th November (between 7 pm and 9 pm) is my first time modelling solo in London - for @moonieslifedrawing at @salisbury_pub_harringay - and I'm making a special trip down to London just for that. Over the moon to get my first London booking (watch this space for others in the London area next year too). On Thursday 12th November, I'm modelling for @lifedrawingassembly at @sandbarwithington in Manchester. Planning on trying out the grid lines body art concept that I did for @goforthanddraw - but in person for the first time - which I'm hoping will add an extra dimension to the art produced, and also help with getting the proportions right with foreshortening. Wowzers, what a month! Last month, I modelled for 6 life drawing classes; this month, it'll be a record 14 of them by tomorrow afternoon - and so many of them in new places I've not modelled at before too! I also got to take part in a performance art project in Hebden Bridge, a portrait photography project in Barton upon Humber, and some life casting in Salford! I started the month by taking part in a @lula_bluee performance art project in a field near Hebden Bridge with several others, including fellow life models @lifemodel.rach and @rentemplepoet This was such a lovely experience, and an amazing start to a truly phenomenal month. On Wednesday 7th October, I modelled for the fifth time for @life_draw_shef at @kiac_studio in Sheffield, where I came up with several new poses, including the one in the photo. This is my most prolific life drawing class so far; thank you so much for your ongoing support ✨ On Thursday 8th October, I was absolutely delighted to get to model for @lifedrawingwithhop for the first time, at their life drawing class at @galleryoldham hosted by @swift.scribbles This was a lovely group with an amazing atmosphere. On Friday 9th October, I modelled at St Oswald's Church Hall in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, for the life drawing group run by @artoxforduk This was my second time modelling there, and I enjoyed challenging myself with some particularly dynamic 5-minute poses. Earlier on Friday 9th October, I was photographed for @nigel2664's "500 Faces" project in Barton upon Humber, after finding out about this through @beephlis who was also photographed for this. I'd highly recommend this for anyone who is interested and can get to Barton upon Humber - you just need to write up to 100 words on your experiences of living in contemporary Britain to accompany your photo. On Saturday 10th October, I sat for a life cast with @mike.making.stuff in Salford, assisted by @beephlis I was so chuffed to get to do this; it was thanks to @lowrifrancesca (who I did a "Become the Muse" photo shoot with in South Wales back in July) who had her face cast by Mike a week or two before, and had mentioned me to Mike. I had my upper torso cast - from my ne by @ruthartmodel
Lovely morning life modelling with @wildlinesart at @bibelot_leek earlier today. Such a fabulous venue - and a beautiful drive over the Peaks from Sheffield to get there too. Amber's life drawing classes always have such a lovely chilled vibe, and she's an amazing tutor. Also loved showing off my new modelling gown today - this arrived on Thursday evening last week. The colours are *so* me! Even better to get it into the photos 🎀 #lifedrawing #lifedrawingmodel #lifemodel #artmodel #lifedrawingclass by @ruthartmodel

Second set of photos from the life drawing class at @arthousesheff this afternoon, tutored by @aufayesheffield ✨🙌 Some absolutely gorgeous art by the artists today (the sixth photo in the carousel is of a drawing by Faye, who was the tutor today). I'm so glad that The Art House are doing Saturday life drawing classes again - as there was a gap of around 5 months since the first time I modelled there (back in May) when the life drawing classes were only on Tuesday and/or Wednesday mornings, when I'm usually working in my day job. Sheffield life drawing classes are definitely the easiest for me to get to, and it's good to have a selection of them to model at; I'm also modelling at The Art House again on Thursday 26th November, together with Scott (@4_4_2_atk) - it will be our first time duo modelling together. #lifemodel #artmodel #lifedrawing #sheffieldart #artsheffield by @ruthartmodel
Lovely afternoon modelling at @arthousesheff for a life drawing class tutored by @aufayesheffield ✨ I wore the most Goth lipstick I could find (to fit the Halloween vibe), and took a small lantern with me as a prop for the first couple of standing poses (with a little LED candle in it). The rest of my poses included several of my favourites currently, plus a brand new one that I came up with last night while sitting up in bed, and I thought I'd try out as one of the 10 minute ones after the break. There was some amazing art created this afternoon - in very distinctive styles. It's always lovely seeing how different artists interpret my poses. This was my second time modelling at The Art House after a gap of a few months; my first time was at the end of May. There were a few months when they didn't have Saturday classes; unfortunately it's not usually possible for me to do Tuesday or Wednesday mornings because of my day job. I'm back there again on the evening of Thursday 26th November to duo model with Scott (@4_4_2_atk) and I'm hoping there will be an opportunity to do a neon UV fluorescent body paint one at some point in the future too (like @tattooed_nude did there back in the summer). I have 7 different lights here that will do UV; I was DJ-ing with most of them this evening in Sheffield for the charity my niece works for. #lifemodel #artmodel #lifedrawing #artsheffield #sheffieldart by @ruthartmodel
Well, it just turns out that those three lovely watercolours by @robpearsonsheff fit rather beautifully above the telly and between two of our guitars! A beautiful addition to our lounge, and perfect for filling up one of the last bits of viable wall space here too. Given that this is the view I also get when listening to the Lounge Hi-Fi (which happens to be the best sound system in the house), and I should really spend more time chilling out listening to music on it, this gives me a lovely added incentive to do so! Also something great to have on show when we have friends around for movie nights! Thank you so much again, Rob - these are absolutely gorgeous and go *so* well together as a triptych above the telly! Special thanks also to @life_draw_shef at @kiac_studio for being one of my original three life drawing classes that I modelled at (from last November onwards), before my mad expansion into travelling all over the North (and beyond) to model this year - and for your continued support in having me model for you. I love my Sheffield life drawing groups so much! The music is from one of my favourite choral music albums - of a concert by Swedbank Koris of Latvian folk music at the 5-yearly choir festival in Riga. I first heard one of these Latvian folk songs at a service at Shrewsbury Unitarian Church maybe 9 or 10 years ago now - a beautiful, haunting song which translates to "Blow, Wind, Blow" in English. Unfortunately this wasn't coming up as one of the options when I searched for "Swedbank Koris", so I've used my second favourite song off the album instead. But the entire album sounds especially lush on the Lounge Hi-Fi! #art #watercolour #sheffieldart #sheffieldartists #lifemodel by @ruthartmodel
The third of the gorgeous watercolours that were gifted to me by Sheffield artist @robpearsonsheff earlier this month at @kiac_studio when I was there modelling for @life_draw_shef ✨🙌 I love Rob's style and how beautiful he makes me look in his art. Looking forward to getting this and the other two up on the wall later. Thank you so much again for gifting me such beautiful art 🌟😊 #art #watercolour #sheffieldartists #sheffieldart #lifemodel by @ruthartmodel
A couple of beautiful watercolours by Sheffield artist @robpearsonsheff that were very kindly gifted to me earlier this month at @kiac_studio when I was there modelling for @life_draw_shef ✨ These were kept very safe in the back bedroom (out of reach of the cat!) until I finally had some time to go and buy picture frames yesterday evening (in between my day job and this month's life modelling marathon), and got these framed up bright and early this morning ready to go up on the wall as soon as I get a chance! It's always a blessing when someone gifts me their art of me; these will be joining works by @lynnepencil and @lucindayoungsart (amongst others) gracing the walls of our little house in Sheffield. #art #watercolour #sheffieldartists #sheffieldart #lifemodel by @ruthartmodel
One of the more unique aspects of my life modelling is that I was a body painting model for several years before trying my hand at life modelling back in 2024, and I've had the opportunity to combine aspects of both in my reference photo shoots and at life drawing classes. The first photo is from the "Symmetry" shoot I did for @goforthanddraw last month - which was inspired by a class at @nantwichlifedrawing last month, where the class tutor drew lines on the model that evening to help the artists with foreshortening practice. I took that idea further by having grid lines drawn on my body with Posca pens (assisted by my wonderful wife Amber - @themissingvolumeone.art). The second photo is from a collaboration Amber and I did at @life_drawing_plus back in April this year - where we did a live performance where Amber painted on me as I posed. I'm always happy to hear from groups interested in combining life drawing with body paint - so if you're interested, please give me a shout 😊 #lifemodel #artmodel #bodypaint #bodypainting #art by @ruthartmodel
For anyone planning on going to @arthousesheff on Saturday (31st October) to draw me, the time of the life drawing class there has been updated to 1:30 pm - 4 pm (rather than being in the morning). by @ruthartmodel
Really looking forward to modelling for @wildlinesart this Sunday (1st November) at Bibelot in Leek for a life drawing class between 11 am and 1 pm, before driving northwards to draw @rentemplepoet in Stockport! This looks like such a gorgeous location - and perfect for a chill couple of hours of art on a Sunday. I love modelling for Amber's classes - there's always such a lovely atmosphere, and some amazing artists. The first of my November missions too - I've got some cracking ones coming up next month - watch this space ✨ #lifemodel #artmodel #lifedrawing #lifedrawingmodel #art by @ruthartmodel
