Such a joy to get to talk with @badboys2meninblackhawkdown and Kelly Lytle Hernandez about their beautiful books, history, research, narrative, solidarity, and resistance as part of @hayfestival and @nationalbookfoundation Presents! And a total delight to visit @thewilddetectives two gorgeous bookstores - plus sunshine & tacos!

“In moving on, the chance for wonder anew” - Beowulf Sheehan

What a gift to celebrate the arrival of this beautiful book and hear @beowulfsheehan talk about his art photographing writers, finding and illuminating their unique and truest selves. And what a gift to spend time with THE FATHER OF THE MAN, both for his portraits of Cormac McCarthy, and for the window into his own life and process. How lucky all of us who love books are that Beowulf has chosen to focus his incredible talents and artistry on writers, and now how lucky to have this book in the world. taken in Greenlight Bookstore by @ruthdickey206

Over the past few months, we asked our contributors to tell us what’s been on their minds, and we’re sharing some tidbits in the lead-up to our pub date of Nov. 10, 2026. 🗣️🙌🏽🥰
.
Uncertain Girls in Uncertain Times is divided into five sections — I Wonder, I Worry, I Wait, I Want, and I Will — to represent some of the concerns and aspirations that young women have about entering the next chapter of their lives, whether that be declaring a different major, founding their own company, or starting to write their first book. 🫶🏿🫶🏾🫶🏽🫶🏼
.
Next up, four of our contributors — Yazmin Mehdi (@ymathome), Ruth Dickey (@ruthdickey206), Antonia Galindo (@antgal9), and Cleo Barnett (@cleobarnett) share some of their big wants for the world. ❤️‍🔥☺️
.
Stay tuned to hear more words from our wonderful contributors, and to learn more about the Uncertain Girls project. 🌟 #uncertaingirls #advice #poetry by @ruthdickey206
