✨ A little July update on my @the_happy_planner Folio! ✨

I’m having so much fun making this folio my own, one page at a time!

For this month’s setup, I decorated my:
💛 July monthly calendar
💛 To-Do List
💛 Notes page
💛 “Quotes I Love This Month” page
💛 Currently page
...all using the Shell Yeah sticker book, and I love the fun summer vibes it brought to every page!

I also decorated the very first page of my journal using the Feathers & Flowers sticker book, and I already know this is going to become one of my favorite places to memory keep, journal, and capture everyday moments.

What I love most about the new Happy Planner A5 Folio is that it’s completely customizable. I can continue adding dashboards, journals, inserts, and creative touches as the months go by, making it a planner that’s uniquely mine.

This is just the beginning! I can’t wait to keep creating, decorating, and filling these pages with memories. And if you want to follow this journey with me... next stop is finding the perfect planner charms, decorating the covers, and adding all the little details that make a planner feel extra special.

The new Happy Planner A5 Folio launches July 15th at 9 AM PST, and it’s available in Espresso, Blush, and Neon Neutral.

Which page would you decorate first, and what little detail would you add to make your folio uniquely yours?

I know I’ve been sharing my reading planner nonstop this year, and I’m not even sorry about it 😂 Decorating these pages and filling them in throughout the week has become part of my reading ritual.

This spread is last week’s reading pages using the new @kellofaplan reading layout + @citrineplan dashboard, decorated with Sweetheart Soda Shop from @amyplansthings — it just restocked 👀 get sure to grab one while it’s still in stock! The pastel, soda-shop vibes are fresh, fun, and honestly perfect for February… but they’ll carry right into spring and summer too.

Now let’s talk books because last week delivered!! I read 9 books total (7 short novellas under 200 pages 🙌), but I had two standout reads this week:

✨ How to Kill a Guy in 10 Dates by Shailee Thompson
Valentine’s meets serial killer? YES. I grabbed this as my BOTM pick and gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It was funny, twisty, and kept me guessing the whole time. Such a fun, fast-paced ride.

✨ The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
Finally crossed this off my TBR after over a year — and it was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me. I loved the open ending. You don’t fully know what happens to her… but you kind of do. It leaves you thinking long after you close the book. The amount of annotations I made? Unreal. So many powerful, uncomfortable, painfully relevant moments.
Fun fact: Margaret Atwood wrote The Handmaid’s Tale in 1984 while living in West Berlin. It was published in 1985, written on a typewriter, and has never gone out of print. A dystopian novel exploring subjugation and theocratic totalitarianism — and it still feels incredibly timely. Now I need to read The Testaments because I have to know more 👀

I love when a reading week gives me both something fun and something deeply reflective. That balance just hits.

Question of the day:
Have you read The Handmaid’s Tale — and did you like the open ending, or do you prefer more closure?

Key words: reading planner, weekly reading spread, pastel planner stickers, BOTM pick, annotated classics, dystopian fiction, bookish planning

📖✨ Last week in my reading planner ✨📖

Two layouts, one perfect match 💚
On the left, I’m using this year’s new reading layout from the @kellofaplan reading planner, and on the right, I paired it with my Citrine Planner using a simplified dashboard layout. I’m honestly loving how well these two complement each other. I used Kellofaplan’s new reading stickers (go check out her shop — most sticker books are currently on sale 👀💸), and they tied everything together beautifully.

Last week was a very good reading week:
⭐ 3 books read
⭐ All 5-star reads
📚 And I started The Nightingale over the weekend — so far, I’m really enjoying it.

There’s just something so satisfying about seeing your reading life laid out like this!

❓ Do you prefer a detailed reading layout or a more simplified dashboard?

What happens when you turn your November journal into a set of HORIZONTAL DUTCH DOORS?! 🤎

I took inspiration from Amy and tried something new with the Main Street Charm collection from @amyplansthings and I’m OBSESSED with how everything turned out! 🥹

I customized some pages, added color with my Tombow water-based marker in shade 990, and included premade pages from the Moments & Moods sticker book! I love mixing premade elements with my own ideas to make my journal feel unique.

And the best part? Amy releases a NEW collection every month! So there’s always something new to inspire your next creative project.

So apparently, I’m in my coloring AND junk journaling era… and I’m not mad about it!

I got the new coloring kit from @enjoyhappypages and when I finished this ghost effect page, I knew I couldn’t just leave it sitting by itself. It needed a home in my junk journal! 👻 Every month, the kit comes with a new coloring page, a color palette card, and a new technique to learn. This month was all about creating a ghost effect, and I had SO much fun with it! Now, did I have all the exact colors? Of course not. 😂 Did I follow the palette kind of? Absolutely!

But wait… it also came with GLOW-IN-THE-DARK STICKERS?! WHAT?! 😱✨ You already know I had to add those to my planner, too!

I also turned the color palette into a little flip-up card, tucked the technique card into its own clear sleeve, and used the leftover glow-in-the-dark sticker borders as washi tape. Because we are NOT wasting those!

This is why I love junk journaling. A coloring page isn’t just a coloring page anymore. It can become a memory, a little story, or even a reminder of something new you learned. 🥹 Okay, tell me I’m not the only one who starts with ONE creative hobby and somehow turns it into three! 😂👇🏼 Have you ever added a coloring page to your journal? Would you try this?

Halloween is MAGICAL… especially when your stickers are from 2021!

This week in my Vertical @kellofaplan planner, I pulled out an OLD favorite from @the_happy_planner : the Halloween & Día de los Muertos sticker book! This book has been discontinued for ages, and I was SO lucky to find a second copy the last time I went to Peru! You have no idea how excited I was! The illustrations are just SO GOOD, and I couldn’t resist bringing another one home. There’s some books that you need at least one more extra copy, just in case lol

I love that this spread is both functional and decorative. Between work, marching band, Girl Scouts, appointments, and everything else life keeps throwing at me, there’s ALWAYS something happening. 🫠 But decorating my planner is my happy place. I get to organize my week, add a little personality, and turn my everyday life into a decorative journal full of memories.

The spooky ghosts, tiny spiders, tombstones, and that “Halloween is Magical” quote? I’m here for ALL of it! 👻🕸️

Now tell me… do you still own sticker books from years ago that you refuse to use up because they’re too good to finish? 🙋🏻‍♀️ And have you ever found a discontinued planner item in the wild?

🎃🖤 What’s Halloween without a little Nightmare Before Christmas?

Last week in my Vertical @kellofaplan planner, I pulled out Nightmare Charm from @the_happy_planner fall collection, featuring Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas! This movie is a MUST in our house. We watch it at least once every Halloween/Christmas season, and honestly… is it even fall without Jack Skellington?!

My week was absolutely CRAZY between work, Girl Scouts, and marching band, and the weekend wasn’t any quieter. 🫠 So I’m extra happy I still found time to play with my sticker stash and make this spooky spread! I’m on a mission to use more of my Happy Planner stickers—both the new ones AND the older books hiding in my stash. Because we all know we have stickers we love but somehow keep saving for “the perfect spread.” 👀

Now help me choose my next sticker book! What should I pull out next? Tell me your favorite Happy Planner sticker book in the comments! And if you see one you think I should use, let me know! 🧡

🎃👻 My October Currently page is scary cute, and I’m OBSESSED! 🧡

Remember the Peanuts Be Happy Box from @the_happy_planner last year? I wanted it SO badly, but it sold out before I could get one. And yes… I regretted it!

Then The Happy Planner had a giveaway for the sold-out box, and somehow, I WAS ONE OF THE LUCKY WINNERS! 🥹 You guys, I NEVER win anything, so you can imagine how excited I was when I found out!

As soon as the box arrived, I looked through those adorable stickers and knew I HAD to use them for my October Currently page. 🎃 The little Peanuts characters, the Halloween colors, the tiny decorative boxes… EVERYTHING! 🧡🖤

And the best part? My daughter LOVES Snoopy, so I decided to share the box with her, and she’s just as excited as I am! 🧡🧡 Thank you, @the_happy_planner for making my October a little spookier and a whole lot cuter with this gifted box! 🎃

Now, can we PLEASE bring this box back? Or at least bring back the sticker book?! Because I absolutely need another copy just to keep in my stash. 😂 Tell me I’m not the only one who buys extra sticker books just to admire them and save them for “the perfect spread”! 👀
