2024! From start to finish, I think it’s a year I can be proud of and grateful for 🙌🏾 It’s been my first full year of practicing professionally as a photographer and it genuinely blows my mind to think of all that’s happened since making that crazy leap. And there are even more moments that apparently aren’t on my camera roll!

Thanking God for all the incredible people I’ve had the opportunity to work and develop friendships with. I’ve loved photographing, collaborating, assisting, and celebrating you. Same again next year?! 🤩❤️ by @ruthonthegram

Pretty safe to say this is the proudest night of my life 😭 Having one of my photographs in the National Portrait Gallery was already a huge honour. To then have that image grace the front of the gallery itself AND have my parents there to be a part of it all?! 🤯 What a beautiful night 🙏🏾 taken in National Portrait Gallery by @ruthonthegram

So happy to say that two of my photographs are now hanging in @the_herbert_cov as part of the #coventryopen2023!! It’s crazy to me that my work is being included alongside such exceptional work by incredible artists. So grateful and humbled 🙏🏾

p.s. feel free to check out @ruthsamuelsphoto if you had no idea that I take photos that aren’t terrible. taken in Herbert Art Gallery & Museum by @ruthonthegram

Super thankful to this lot for taking me in over the last few months and looking after me while I’ve been so unwell. There aren’t really the words to say just how grateful I really am.
I feel bad that I’ve seduced Cashie the Cat, only to be leaving her for Wolverhampton. She’ll be devastated when she realises I’ve really gone 🥹 @tasha_thegreatdane didn’t really care that I was around but I love her too ❤️

So long (for now) London 👋🏾 by @ruthonthegram

Very fortunate that travelling into the centre for weekly M.E. treatment means that enjoying lunch and great art beforehand is completely doable 😊 Such a lovely experience to see the Gaia installation in the sanctuary of @southwark_cathedral with @ritpetite21 🌍 by @ruthonthegram

Struggling to find the energy to pack up my lovely flat to start moving tomorrow 😔 It did NOT look like this when I moved in! And the need for major work stopped me from completing all the things I really wanted to do with it. Still, with what little I’ve had, I made a pretty gorgeous home out of it!

Ah, damp Basement Flat… I’m going to miss you 😍😭

Tonight’s #madeupmeal: Smoked paprika-y pork belly, kabanos and butter bean stew, with a smooth sweet potato mash 👌🏾
I’m not sure why I’m not a huge fan of following recipes. I just like making stuff up, bringing together ingredients that should work together in theory, and then seeing if they do. And this did!
