🎧 Beyond the Decks: Ruz

Meet Ruz —
DJ and resident of SYNQ Collective, known for Kalye and Hip-Hop sets rooted in old-school influence and HYPHY culture.

First gig was at Kapeterium — no prior experience, but owner Joshua Nunag took a chance anyway. A trust Ruz still carries with them today.

Ask about the favorite SYNQ moment and it’s CASIGURAN, the Aurora gig. The trip that showed just how far the collective has come, and brought the family even closer.

Pre-set ritual: bubblegum to settle the nerves, then locking in. “It’s like a mystery box, you never know what you’re gonna get.”

Go-to track: Lobat by Costa Cashman.
