Discription:

🪧The Asilidae are the robber fly family, also called assassin flies. They are powerfully built, bristly flies with a short, stout proboscis enclosing the sharp, sucking hypopharynx.

🪧The name "robber flies" reflects their expert predatory habits; they feed mainly or exclusively on other insects and, as a rule, they wait in ambush and catch their prey in flight.

🪧The fly attacks its prey by stabbing it with its short, strong proboscis, injecting the victim with saliva containing neurotoxic and proteolytic enzymes which very rapidly paralyze the victim and soon digest the insides; the fly then sucks the liquefied material through the proboscis.

🪰Oplodontha viridula, the common green colonel, is a European species of soldier fly.
🪰Body length 6–8 mm. Purple eyes in life with bands and spots.
🪰Thorax brilliant black, coarsely punctured and with short dull yellow pubescence. Scutellum entirely black with two yellow spines. Yellowish legs (female).
🪰Abdomen whitish, yellow or leaf green with all intermediate ranges; black longitudinal dorsal median band also variable in shape and extent than the background pastel color.
🪰The larva is light or dark brownish with different longitudinal stripes or markings: on the dorsal side it has short, depressed hairs, on the ventral side the middle space of the segments have somewhat longish hairs. The length is 16 mm.

🔍Orvasca subnotata is a nygmiine tussock moth in the family Erebidae, found in Indomalaya and East Asia, where it is known as a pest that feeds on millets.

🔍The individual represented by the life cycle cf635-644 on this website has larva that matches that of Orvasca subnotata Walker, 1865, but has entirely yellow hindwings, which represents a discrepancy to the description of orvasca, wherein both sexes of this species have HW brown with marginal yellow even border.

🔍Erthesina fullo, commonly known as the yellow-spotted stink bug or yellow marmorated stink bug, is a species of stink bug in the family Pentatomidae.

🔍The native distribution of E. fullo in Asia includes most parts of China, Japan, and south-eastern countries like Myanmar or Vietnam. In addition, it has been reported from parts of India, Bangladesh, Indonesia and the Philippines.

🔵 Gonocerus acuteangulatus is a medium-sized insect, between 11 and 14 mm long as an adult.

🔵 These heat-loving bugs inhabit mainly dry and warm, south-exposed environments, bushes and forest edges with shrubs that bear berries and small trees of various families.

🔍 Orvasca subnotata is a nygmiine tussock moth in the family Erebidae, found in Indomalaya and East Asia, where it is known as a pest that feeds on millets.

🔎Id: Comman Sand Boa

✅It is widely distributed in lowlands of most of the Indian Subcontinent except north-eastern states. It is also reported from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

✅It is Non venomous snake.

✅It is a short but thick and robust snake that grows up to 100cm., but usually found in 70-80cm range.

✅Its body colour is dark brown, reddish-brown, blackish, cream etc., with the upper side densely marked with blackish or dark-chocolate brown blotches throughout the length.

⚠️Note: Without identification do not pick up the snake or try to trap it. Never handle a venomous snake, not even a dead one or its decapitated head without Herping experts. Results can be Brutal.

🔍The male is much smaller than the female. After mating, the female kills the male.

🔍 The male spider spins a web alongside the females web, known as the companion web. The female lays her eggs onto this companion web and wraps them up into a sac.

🔍This sac can hold from 400 to 1,400 eggs inside. The eggs hatch in autumn, but they remain locked inside until spring.

🔍The young spiders in the sac are cannibals, and they eat each other to stay alive — until they are strong enough to break through the sac walls.

➡️Family: Erycidae
Distribution: It is widely distributed in lowlands of most of the Indian Subcontinent except north-eastern states. It is also reported from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

➡️Scalation:
Head covered with small and highly keeled scales. Dorsal scales keeled, in 40-55 rows. Ventral scales narrower than body. Subcaudals undivided.

➡️Morphology:
It is a short but thick and robust snake that grows up to 100cm., but usually found in 70-80cm range. Newborn individuals are 12-14cm. Its body colour is dark brown, reddish-brown, blackish, cream etc., with the upper side densely marked with blackish or dark-chocolate brown blotches throughout the length. Its underside is yellow-white and usually marked with dark patches. Its head is smaller than the body, not broader than the neck and covered with small scales. Its tail is very thick, short and covered with rough scales which is an important character to distinguish it from Whitaker’s Boa.

🦗Treehoppers (more precisely typical treehoppers to distinguish them from the Aetalionidae) and thorn bugs are members of the family Membracidae, a group of insects related to the cicadas and the leafhoppers. About 3,200 species of treehoppers in over 400 genera are known.

🦗They are found on all continents except Antarctica; only five species are known from Europe. Individual treehoppers usually live for only a few months.
