What a partnership these two are building! 💙 Just one year after welcoming former racehorse Plein Ciel into her life, @e.l.h_equestrian is already achieving some fantastic things with her Off The Track thoroughbred! Having earned more than $500,000 on the racetrack, Plein Ciel is now showing his versatility in dressage and other disciplines with Ella. And how special is this photo of the pair participating in Ride to Time, with Ella proudly wearing Plein Ciel's original racing colours! 🏇 Most recently, the Victorian combination represented Pony Club Australia at the 2026 Pony Club International Virtual Dressage Show, taking out the Prix Caprilli Most Improved Award after improving their score by an impressive 6.539 percentage points between rounds. From the racetrack to a whole new world of opportunities, it's wonderful to see what this partnership has achieved in just 12 months. We can't wait to see what's next for Ella and Plein Ciel! #OTT #OffTheTrack by @rv_offthetrack
We're thrilled to welcome @sophiahillequestrian as an official Off The Track Ambassador! 💙🐎 A familiar face in the eventing world, Sophia has enjoyed incredible success with off the track thoroughbreds, most notably with Humble Glory, but also with many other OTTs throughout her career. Now campaigning a team of talented thoroughbreds, Sophia continues to showcase just how versatile, competitive and capable these horses are at the highest levels of the sport. Her passion for thoroughbreds and commitment to giving them opportunities beyond the racetrack makes her a wonderful ambassador for our program. We're so excited to have Sophia on board and look forward to sharing more of her journey with her team of OTTs!💙 #OTT #OffTheTrack by @rv_offthetrack
💬 “I've never had such an immediate connection with a horse.” Next up in our Melbourne Cup memories, we caught up with Great House, a 2021 Melbourne Cup runner who has found a very special place in the heart of his new owner, Mia. 💙 Trained by Chris Waller, Great House (affectionately known as Gally) earned an impressive $980,000 on the track before beginning his next chapter Off The Track. By Galileo (IRE) out of Anja (IRE), Gally has become so much more than a horse to Mia. He's been her best friend through a tricky and stressful Year 12, with time spent together in the paddock providing the perfect escape from studying. From the Melbourne Cup to being someone's greatest support, we just love seeing the special connections our OTTs create. 💙 #OTT #OffTheTrack by @rv_offthetrack
Come and visit the Off The Track marquee at The Park, Flemington! 🐴 The Living Legends team and RDA are here, along with a few familiar faces. Stop by and say hello! by @rv_offthetrack
Thank you very much @rv_offthetrack for sponsoring our dressage day with some awesome prizes for our best performing Off the Track thoroughbreds on the day! The Off The Track Program aims to support thoroughbreds in post-racing careers by promoting our Acknowledged Retrainer network, driving demand for the breed as performance and pleasure horses, educating the community about post-racing options and the appropriate care of thoroughbreds. by @rv_offthetrack
🐴 Ready to start getting out and about with your OTT? For many Off The Track Thoroughbreds, loading onto a float and heading somewhere new isn’t unfamiliar - but what happens at the other end can be a very different experience from their racing days. So how do you help your OTT learn that getting on the float doesn’t always mean heading to the racetrack? We caught up with Racing Victoria Acknowledged Retrainers Louise Abey and Nina Lloyd to share their advice for those all-important early outings - from groundwork and floating to why sometimes the best first trip is simply going somewhere, eating some hay and coming home again. 💙 Their biggest message? Build good experiences, keep the pressure low and be consistent. Plus, if you’re ready to get out there, Racing Victoria’s OTT program offers a $60 clinic subsidy for eligible OTTs attending clinics listed on @the_equestrian_diary 👉 Read the full story and their practical tips for setting your OTT up for success in our OTT Community. #OTT #OffTheTrack by @rv_offthetrack

After our first Royal show together, I was already wondering what the next big goal would be for Lani and I to work towards… and certainly didn’t think we’d have one so soon. At Lancefield show we were awarded both: 🩷🤍💙 Racing Victoria Off The Track 💙🤍🩷 Led & Ridden Show Hunter Series Qualifiers This means we are now on the road to the VAS Ltd Saddle Horse Championships, to be held in early 2027! ✨ Lani is kept beautifully presented with @championtailsofficial products. ✨ As always, I’m wearing my favourite @lpdesignsaustralia jacket and lapel, along with @bareequestrian competition tights. @riverbendeq @racingvictoria @rv_offthetrack #showhorse #chasingdreams by @rv_offthetrack
With Melbourne Cup Week almost here we're taking a look back at some of the incredible Thoroughbreds who have graced the famous Flemington track and are now enjoying life Off The Track! 🏆🐎 First up, Emissary! The British-bred gelding made his mark on Australian racing in 2022, winning the Group 3 Geelong Cup before finishing an impressive second behind Gold Trip in the Group 1 Melbourne Cup. Trained by Michael Moroney and Glen Thompson, Emissary amassed more than $1.68 million in prize money throughout his racing career. But his story certainly didn't end at the finish line! These days, Emissary is thriving in his second career with Mariah Kaminski @stonewood_agistment swapping the racetrack for the dressage arena and show ring. 💜 From Melbourne Cup runner-up to much-loved equestrian partner, Emissary is a wonderful example of the versatility and potential of our Off The Track Thoroughbreds. Stay tuned as we celebrate more former Melbourne Cup runners and discover where life has taken them beyond racing! 🐴 #OTT #OffTheTrack by @rv_offthetrack
There's no better way to learn about life after racing than getting up close and personal with our amazing Off The Track Thoroughbreds! 🐴 Our Stable Tours at the @melbourneroyalshow Show were bigger and better than ever this year, and we couldn't have asked for a better tour guide than John Trinchera aka JT! We caught up with JT to chat about the tours, their incredible growth and why he's so passionate about sharing the stories of our OTTs with showgoers. His enthusiasm is infectious, and it's people like JT who make these experiences so special! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for a tour this year. We loved sharing our OTTs with you and can't wait to do it all again next year! 🙌 #OffTheTrack #OTT by @rv_offthetrack
