An amazing evening at Naeem Khan’s beautiful new studio, celebrating art, fashion, and a meaningful cause. ✨ His incredible new collection🪽I am in love! Such an inspiration. The burst of colors and textures divine! @naeemkhannyc 🙌 The beautiful works by KACE the collaboration between artist Stanley Casselman and designer Naeem Khan brought their creative dialogue between art and fashion to life. The collaboration is certainly one to watch! @kacestudio The white textures of this monumental painting speaks to materials in their true form and blends the sophistication of both of their practices. A meditative space for the mind and soul. 🧘 I also had the great pleasure of spending time with the fabulous Franco Lacosta, whose sage wisdom and captivating creative presence made the evening all the more memorable. Art fairs can be to some a sensory overload. 💣 One moment you are completely undone by the sheer presence of a Joan Mitchell or an Al Held, and the next, you are lost in an endless maze of noise, commerce, and competing aesthetics. I will say the Independent Art Fair was impressive as the artwork and booths were seamless in the beautiful Breuer building on Madison Avenue. So many people asked me this week what I saw, I can't even conceive to post it all! People often ask us at Vancelette Global how we navigate this world without losing the plot. The truth is, our work isn't about adding to the noise. It’s about creating the quiet spaces where art can actually breathe. Whether we are shaping a private collection, building long-term legacies for artists, or connecting contemporary creators with collaborations, luxury, fashion, art and fashion, our role is to act as a filter and a protector. We exist to ensure that behind every transaction, collaboration, and exhibition, the integrity of the creative vision remains untouched. Because art shouldn't just be consumed in a rush... it should stop you in your tracks, rearrange how you see, and stay with you long after the fair lights go down. The art of walking to visit art in a museum, gallery, artfair can be seen and experienced as a walking and moving mediation... have you thought of this in your daily experience? An evening at the Metropolitan Opera House immersed in Puccini’s La Bohème 🌙 one of those New York nights where music, theater, architecture, and art all seem to meet in one place. 🎵 grateful🙌 Before the curtain even rises, the Met offers another kind of spectacle: the monumental works of Marc Chagall, alongside Cecily Brown’s extraordinary contemporary presence. Moving from Chagall’s dreamlike, theatrical world into Brown’s layered, visceral language feels like a reminder that opera and painting share so much emotion, gesture, drama, memory, and imagination. George Condo's monumental sculpture on the balcony glows in the night air! I certainly got lost in the shadows hitting the paintings- you see me vanish.... The chandeliers caught my eye as they sparkled like jewels! Then comes La Bohème: love, friendship, beauty, loss, and the fleeting nature of time, carried by Puccini’s unforgettable score. It was powerful. Take our dear friends, celebrate the moments that matter, and honor those who paved the way. 🤍✨ The chandeliers of Vanderbilt Hall were ✨ sparkling! Massive congratulations to contemporary artist Karen Bystedt and the lovely Consuelo Vanderbilt for producing such a brilliant evening at the iconic Vanderbilt Hall, which also marked the official launch of V&S Global Studio and its incredible mission supporting fashion designers. The event supported our troops and US military which is always so important! It was deeply moving to honor our troops and military services, an experience that brought to mind my own grandfather, who served as a fighter pilot. Thank you to all for your service. New York Fashion week always has surprises! This for sure was one! ART X FASHION continues and with my addiction for it ... it was a blast!
