“comfort dwelling”

a little over a year ago, and while i was scouting for my second film, i stopped the car on top of a small mountain in the region of Aïn Johra, i didn’t stop because the place was what i was searching for, but i stopped because simply the route ended there. once i put a few steps in the place, i’ve decided that it was what i was searching for, then i turn my head and i see a kid looking at me and at my camera, we stood there looking and wondering about each other for some time, then his mother came and greeted us and we talked for quite some time. the kid, who turned out to be rayan, just stood there looking at the camera, he made me remember when i was a kid, and the curiosity i had to the world, next thing i knew, we were in their open roof patio inside their traditional house on top of the mountain.

after tea rayan took me to see around and help me scout, i gave him the camera and showed him how to take pictures and frame a subject, he quickly took on that, and he took many pictures, and i took many pictures of him, this one was my favorite.

in a sense, looking at rayan was like looking at myself as a kiddo, i never got to go back to shoot the film since we shot it elsewhere, but i know someday i’ll go back... by @rvyxn3
