This summer marks 5 years of Project 91, and this past weekend felt like a full-circle moment — 5 years of hard work, late nights, risks, mistakes, and a lot of figuring things out as we went.

When we started Project 91, we had no business plan, no LLC, no real idea what we were doing — just an idea to bring our friends together in NYC and create experiences we wanted to be a part of.

To see what it’s become is still pretty mind-blowing. Honestly, we couldn’t have predicted any of this.

Selling 20,000 tickets and bringing two dance music icons to the Brooklyn waterfront was a surreal moment for us. It felt like a moment where we could finally step back and realize just how far we’ve come.

But personally, neither of us are satisfied yet. There’s still so much we want to build — in NYC, in other markets, and with ideas we’ve been working on quietly for years. 🤫

5 years down. A lot more to go. ❤️

What started as an idea has grown into something much bigger. Proud to officially introduce Playgrounds—a new home for the brands, experiences, and communities we’ve built through Project 91.

We’re incredibly grateful to have the support of Justin Kalifowitz and Klaf Companies. Justin built Downtown Music into one of the most influential independent music companies in the world, culminating in a $775 million acquisition by Virgin Music Group. His belief in what we’re building is both humbling and motivating.

Thankful for the team, partners, and supporters who helped make this possible! Shoutout to Billboard and Music Business Worldwide for the spotlight articles.
