Nathan Tassey is a National Champion in the 5,000 meter, finishing in a personal-best and program record time of 14:02.77! This is the first time in program history that a men's track and field athlete has been crowned a national champion.

NATIONAL RUNNER-UP🥈

After day one of the @ncaadiii Track & Field National Championships, Nathan Tassey secured a podium finish in the 10,000 meters taking second-place with a personal-best, season-best, AND school record time of 29:08.50! Tassey is not done yet, as he will be back in action in the 5,000m on Saturday.

Justin Dickson opened the first day of Decathlon events and currently sits 19th after competing in five events! He will be back in action tomorrow to round out his season at the NCAA Championship.

@rwu_track picked up some @ustfccca Mideast All-Region honors!🏃💪

Congratulations to Ronald Nolin, Nathan Tassey, Justin Dickson, and Angela West! Nolin received the honor in the high jump, while Tassey picked up the honor in the 5,000m and the 10,000m. Dickson earned All-Region in javelin and decathlon, while West was chosen in javelin.

These three @rwu_track Hawks were selected to compete at the @ncaadiii Outdoor Track & Field Championships next week!🏃💪

Nathan Tassey earned two selections for the Hawks, qualifying in both the men's 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters this season. Tassey enters the championship field for the third time on the track, ranked 11th nationally in the 5,000 meters and 10th nationally in the 10,000 meters!

Justin Dickson secured his first selection to the NCAA Championship in the men's decathlon after totaling 6,606 points at the Division III New England Championships and is ranked 16th nationally in the event!

Angela West earned her second career NCAA Championship selection in the women's javelin. West qualified back in March and is ranked 20th nationally!
