Every year on September 25th, we celebrate pharmacists of all types who are dedicated to improving patients’ lives and making a meaningful impact as essential members of healthcare teams.

Time for an honest moment. This was my first rejection letter after residency, and honestly, it hurt. I was embarrassed, discouraged, and started questioning whether I would ever find a job in such a tough market.

I had to remind myself that MY GOD is BIGGER than the Goliath standing in front of me. What feels like rejection to me may simply be redirection.

I may not know exactly where this path is leading, but I trust that God will direct my steps and lead me exactly where I’m meant to be. 🤍

I kept seeing posts about how I’d be employed by the end of September and how my time was coming, so I knew that had to be God talking to me 🤍.

GOD DID!! 🥺🥹 I’m so excited to say that I accepted an offer post residency completion 🥺. The application/interviewing process was so seamless that I knew in my heart God directed my steps there. Hospital reveal’s coming soon! 🤭

What does life after residency look like for me ??
Honestly… still searching for that answer.

Residency taught me how to keep going, but life after residency is teaching me how to slow down, dream again, and figure out what I actually want.

One day and adventure at a time, and trusting that I don’t need to have it all figured out just yet. God has me!

Still becoming. Still exploring. Still searching. by @rxdoctee

POV: You used to attend these pharmacists-only events as a pharmacy student and the only student editor/writer for WMSHP. Now, you’re being invited back as a pharmacist.
A true full-circle moment. 🤍 by @rxdoctee

A little advice for my fellow doctoral students as you all step into a new school year! You don’t have to do it all, you just have to keep showing up. Here’s to a year of growth, purpose, and becoming the scholar you’re meant to be. Good luck future doctors!! <3 by @rxdoctee

Hi everyone! I’m a little camera-shy, but I still wanted to make this video and share my residency experience with you all. I tried to keep it short while also being honest and informative about my journey. Please excuse the brief background noise as there were some people outside talking, and I decided to keep the authentic and raw take instead of recording it all over again. I hope you enjoy it and thanks so much for watching! 🙂 by @rxdoctee

Happy Sunday! Looking back at my pharmacy school journey, I can honestly say that staying connected to the material during summer break helped me feel more prepared when classes started again. I thought I’d share a couple of the things that worked for me in case they help someone else! 🙂 by @rxdoctee

In the last 48 hours, I’ve celebrated 2 life-changing milestones: my 26th birthday and graduating from a residency program with ~1,000 beds.

Residency challenged me in ways I never imagined. There were incredible victories such as passing my boards on the first attempt, becoming a stronger presenter, expanding my clinical knowledge, and gaining confidence as a healthcare professional. However, there were also difficult moments like feeling overwhelmed, questioning whether I was capable, wanting to quit, and navigating challenges that tested my patience and perseverance.

There were times when I asked God why this season felt so heavy. Now, as I reflect on my journey, I can see that every challenge had a purpose. It strengthened my resilience, deepened my faith, humbled me, and helped me grow personally, clinically, and professionally.

Today, my heart is full of gratitude. Thank you God for carrying me through every high and low. Thank you to my family, friends, mentors, and everyone who prayed for me, encouraged me, and reminded me of my strength when I struggled to see it myself.

I’m proud to say that I’m officially a residency-trained pharmacist! 🥳 What a blessing it is to reach this moment. Excited, grateful, and ready to see what God has in store for this next chapter! 💕 taken in Washington D. C. by @rxdoctee

POV: You just had your final residency evaluation and can officially say you’re DONE with residency! 🥺 Only God knows what this year has been, but I’m grateful for every lesson, challenge, and blessing along the way. Graduation is in 3 days!! 🥳 The tears won’t stop falling, but they’re happy tears because I actually made it. 🥹

This month, I attended 2 professional pharmacy conferences (Eastern States and MedStar Symposium) where I presented my infectious diseases research that I’ve been working on during my residency year. I’m so proud of myself and I’m so happy that I’m now done presenting lol. Just awaiting graduation and hopefully manuscript publication :). by @rxdoctee
