I have had the absolute honor of spending the past week at Indiana University Bloomington as a member of the Factor Future Educators program. Focused on inspiring future educators, the program intends to hopefully answer the question to where that education should be pursued and further inspire those chasing their dreams of being an educator. After this week, I can confidently say IU showed itself as a strong contender to my future home of higher education.

I am honored to be one of just thirty-or-so students that was selected from around the state of Indiana to attend this program. Even better, all of us have attended this program on a full-ride scholarship for the week. Opportunities like this do not appear every day, and I consider myself truly blessed. Blessed to have gotten to learn from professors, doctors, other educators, entrepreneurs, and even the Dean of the School of Education. Further blessed to have met truly wonderful incoming high school seniors who have a genuine passion for the future of education.

I'm proud to say I have not only learned valuable lessons from the many lectures I have had the privilege to attend this week, but also genuine connection with the most kind and passionate people that I now get the honor to call my friends. Thank you to IU Bloomington and the School of Education for opportunity of a lifetime. I will not forget this week for the rest of my life.
