"Whispers of the Tide"
Aug 8
At @saidainternationalfestival

#dance #company #ryadancecompany #contemporary by @ryacreatives

Whispers of the Tide (همسات الموج) is a contemporary dance performance inspired by the deep-rooted connection between the city of Saida (Sidon) and the Mediterranean Sea. This evocative piece weaves movement and sound into a poetic reflection on the sea as a witness to Saida’s history—its legacy of trade, migration, turbulence, and resilience. With each ebb and flow, the sea carries memories, salt, and longing, binding the past and present through rhythm and ritual. Through a series of choreographic vignettes, the piece explores themes of heritage, identity, and transformation, capturing the cyclical dance between the city and the tide.

It will be performed on August 8 at @saidainternationalfestival

Artistic direction & choreography: @naamanireem @itsalextruglio
