Kia ora 😄🤙

This is an honest declaration.

I have some big dreams. Lately I’ve come to the conclusion (not for the first time but hopefully one of the last) that the only thing really getting in the way of achieving those is myself. Can you relate?

For a long time I’ve resisted creating content on social media. I’ve always been passionate about photography, cinematography and telling stories but have been guilty of finding posting a bit self indulgent or performative.

But I’ve woken up. I think we live in an incredibly interesting time of psychological paradox - while many of us scroll endlessly consuming content, there is an innate hypocrisy in our personal rejection of producing it. I’d rather be a creator.

I’m stoked on the beautiful life I’ve lived until now. I’ve also made more than my fair share of mistakes. And, I think pursuing more of the life you want requires courage to put yourself out there.

Last year I moved to London with an idea I’ve been building for a while. But the truth is, I didn’t feel inspired by the city environment I was in.

I’ve had to get closer again to what’s authentically me: the people, places and experiences that make me feel connected, curious and hopeful about the future of our planet - while letting go of some very real patterns of self-sabotage.

This account will be raw and unapologetic at times. A combined documentation of extraordinary regenerative initiatives I find around the world and also somewhat of an accountability diary where I continue to get my sh*t together.

If you choose, I hope you enjoy journeying with me.

With love x

A little archipelago escape, right on Stockholm’s doorstep. 🍁🍂⛵️

After a few months living and working on a boat, Hotel J was the perfect place to transition back into land life.

If you have a soft spot for sail boats or simply escaping the pace of everyday life, I’d absolutely recommend a stay. Especially in the charming old building.

Thank you for having me, @hotel_j 🤍

Hard to beat days like this ☀️

One minute you’re sailing along the coast of Sweden, the next you’ve got a woodpecker dropping by for a rest.

Never gets old.

One of those experiences I look back on with the most fondness.

Sailing into New York was completely unexpected. What started as just another job on the water somehow turned into one of the most incredible chapters of my life.

I’m endlessly grateful for the random, unplanned moments and beautiful people that end up shaping you in ways you never expected.

And I think that’s part of what inspired this account.

You don’t necessarily have to go somewhere nobody has ever been. Sometimes it’s about finding a different way to experience somewhere we think we already know. 🌃🗽

Just rolling on down to the local for some new flops. 🩴

But seriously, the contrast between “holidaying” on yachts and holidaying off yachts needs to be studied.

The mindset shift is REAL.

I’ll have a little place by the sea someday, with walls covered in photos I’ve taken, from all the places I’ve been.

Until then, I’ll keep collecting the memories. 📸🧜‍♀️

24 hours visiting autumnal Oslo. I was enamoured with all the red throughout the city. 🍂💋

There’s a rustic and independent quality about Norway that feels quite different from neighbouring Sweden. A little rough around the edges, a little self-assured, and very much its own thing.

And of course lately I’ve been obsessed with @thegentlemen. Arguably one of the best shows on @netflixuk

So, had some fun and gave Oslo The Gentleman treatment.

A brief but thoroughly productive engagement.

One of the things I appreciate the most about being on or by the sea is how effortless it is to make time for beauty.

Our lives are busy. And by default we rush through quiet moments often unintentionally… missing the magic that reveals itself in the liminal spaces.

I’ve never just wanted to visit new or interesting places.

I’ve wanted to build a life that lets me lean into them… to simply exist and be present for things that manifest outside of my control.

Thank you Mother Ocean for endlessly being my teacher.

P.s. Nothing beats the original version of Sparks.

Maybe the question isn’t what you want to do for work… but how you want to live.

Would you consider yachting as a career? If you’ve got questions, feel free to ask 👇

I still feel bloody lucky to be living this life.

Yachting has opened up more doors, adventures, places and people than I ever could’ve imagined.

Cheers to living the dream, being a pirate, and never growing up 🏴‍☠️🌊

I grew up in New Zealand, so Middle-Earth was always somewhere between fantasy and home.

I’ve always imagined Scandinavia as the kind of landscape that inspired the idea of elves — deep forests, moss-covered rocks, hidden lakes and a long tradition of Nordic folklore and mysticism. Being here in Sweden, sleeping amongst the trees and getting to play with that idea has been fun 🧝‍♀️

After so much time living and working on boats, I love the ocean more than I can put into words. But there’s something about the forest: the smell of pine and earth, birds in the trees and a fire at night, that brings a different kind of peace.

Shoutout to @kolarbyn for a fantastic stay and a lovely reminder of the joy found in getting back to basics. 🌲🪓

Share this with that person you’d disappear into the woods with. Follow along… I’ll be finding more 🏕️

Not another travel account.

A love letter to the people, places and projects making this world feel a little more extraordinary. 🌍

Wilderness.
Good humans.
The magic beneath the surface.
Brighter futures.

Come roam with me. 🐺✈️🏍️🔥

Don’t get me wrong, I love cities. But in small doses.

There’s something about getting outside of them that makes you feel more alive, more grounded, and like you’re experiencing a more authentic side of a place.

Like all things, balance is key. 🌿

Big shoutout to the Green Trails crew for such an awesome afternoon exploring Tyresta National Park. Highly recommend getting out there with them if you’re in Stockholm. 🏕️
