lenny and i (and my mom and poppy and drew and chloe and michelle bc let’s be honest lenny was less than helpful and it takes a village!!) packed up my LA apartment this week🥲

we are headed to Pennsylvania, and it couldn’t feel more bittersweet. i was 22 when i moved to LA, with a whole lot of enthusiasm and 0 plan for the future. these last 6 years have held so much- i’ve loved deeply, failed, laughed, gotten my heart broken, questioned everything, learned and unlearned, grown, created, cried in every neighborhood from venice to pasadena, and somehow have nearly gotten my doctorate along the way. i’m so grateful for every version of me that got to exist in this magical city. i love you LA, you will always be a home for me🤎👼 taken in Los Angeles, California by @ryan.goodlett

the amount of times i’ve said this month “my best friend from high school is on tour with the sound of music” could be a very effective drinking game. my barista knows, my mechanic knows, the five year old girl i used to nanny knows. i will shout it from quite literally every mountain ;) because i am so proud of you, Roo. you are a natural talent but you’ve also put in the discipline and very hard work it takes to be where you are, and it has been my honor to get to witness you shine from West Middle School to the Pantages🥹 you are not just a friend from home, you are a friend who is home to me, and i needed you these last few weeks more than you could know. how special it is to have front-row seats to each other’s dreams!
