If you’ve known me for any amount of time you know that I love me some Dolly. Dolly was the perfect example of a kind soul.

Growing up in Tennessee Dolly taught me a lot. She gave me free books through the Imagination Library. She didn’t just donate to charities, she enacted change. It was never political for her, she just felt that doing good was, well, good.

To say it’s been a busy June would be an understatement!

Got to be apart of my friends wedding 💍

Took Starcatcher and Louder Than Words to OCTA (we won some awards on the last slide) 💫

My dad came in to visit ✈️

We started camps at Fairmount 👨‍🏫

My Itty Bitty Ballet classes started back up 🧑‍🩰

Worked and help put on the Spanish Dance Concert through Fairmount at The Darl Center 💃

Rehearsals for Dear Aunt Flow are in full swing! 💁‍♀️

Tickets went on sale for My Dear Aunt Flow 🩸

And I still have another event this weekend for Starcatcher! 📝

Soap box incoming 🧼

10 years ago I started thinking about opening my own theater company. I had just started my teaching career and I kept seeing these barriers to entry that felt unfair and unnecessary. Fast forward to college and in a few of my business theater classes I jokingly came up with “the theatrical manifesto”, a theater where all proceeds are shared and all bodies are welcome. Well, here we are. Starcatcher is a dream in the making. All ticket sales are divided amongst the artists to ensure equal pay, braille scripts and programs allowed us to welcome a blind cast member and audience member, ASL interpreters allowed us to welcome deaf and hard of hearing audience members, live streaming allowed us to welcome an additional 30 viewers at home! With all these barriers to entry removed we were able to reach over 300 people this weekend. This isnt just about accessibility for our shows, it’s about equality and normalization. These barriers to entry should not be seen as the norm. What we are doing with Starcatcher is not novel, it’s simply fair.

I would not be writing this post without all of the hard work and dedication of the entire cast and crew, but especially our production team. Thank you @christianabandrews @hannah_jo1224 @josiekvano @noahryanlewis for bringing our first production to life. This show was truly amazing. I can not wait for Louder Than Words to continue its journey outside of Starcatcher and I hope to support and be apart of the journey however I can support! I could not have asked for a better cast and crew for our first show!

Honored and ecstatic to announce I’ll be joining the @fairmountcenter team in a new capacity. I signed my offer letter today to become the Performing Arts Manager at this wonderful organization. I’m already a teacher here and can vouch for the amazing work they are doing in providing arts education to the greater Cleveland community.

I have some very exciting news to share with everyone. Big life update incoming!

Let’s start with the biggest news, I have officially started my own company. I filed with the state, signed a lease with Summit Artspace, and have launched the website! Currently we’re offering private acting lessons and audition prep, in 2026 we will be performing our inaugural show with the help of some very talented local artist. Stay tuned for more on show dates and please spread with anyone looking for private lessons or audition prep!

Number 2, I have signed my contract with Fairmount Center for the Arts as a member of their theater team! I’m so excited to start teaching here and be apart of such a wonderful, collaborative, creative team. Check me out and send any of your Cleveland’s to my classes 🙂

And finally, I have been the office manager and program coordinator at Aurora School of Music for some time now, but recently I’ve started a private acting studio there. In August I had my first student perform a monologue at a recital and what an amazing experience that was! Anyone looking for acting classes in the Aurora, Hudson, Twinsburg area should definitely come try me out at Aurora School of Music!
