Run on River Seine - 7.30am

No better way to see a city than a quick 10 km.

Coffee x Emails - 9am

As always - Coffee comes first and then stuck into some emails.

Market - 11am

Picked up some fruit at the local market.

Lunch - 12

Got stuck into a sandwhich to fuel up for my trip to the Eiffel tower.

Client calls - 1pm

Hard to find a better location for a few client check ins.

Coffee x design work - 2.30pm

Second coffee of the day before getting into some coding.

Dander through the Parisian streets - 5pm

Paris is such a cool and fashionable city. The attention to detail of the outfits inspired an up and coming project where chic meets UI.

Sticker Time - 6pm

RLWD spreading the good news.

Dinner @devie.bar - 7.30pm

A day in Paris wouldn’t be complete without some french dining. I headed to de vie for their 5-step seasonal drinks tasting menu and was blown away with the experience taken in Paris, France by @ryan_loughran_webdesign

Wanted to share what a day consists of as a Digital Nomad roaming around Palermo.

Priorities straight - coffee into me nice and early. Coffee has been top class over here. Got stuck into some design work for a new client launching soon. Stay tuned 👀

Took a dander through the market and picked up some fresh fruit for the day. The market was organised chaos and inspired some new sketches for future work. Can’t wait for you to see the finished product.

Always like to get a gym session in when I’m travelling. Keep the body right and stay on the productive grind. Grabbed a day pass and got stuck into a push session. Impressed with the quality of gyms and was able to get a free trial day pass so win win.

Speaks for itself - Foccacia was easily best sandwhich I’ve found on my travels. Bread was exquisite and local italian meats and salad topped it off. Goated lunch

Second big stint of the work day and finding a cafe with WiFi, great coffee and AC was the plan. Had all 3 here and worked through some coding for the afternoon

Walking through the streets of my travel locations is where you get the true benefits of digital nomad life. Few stickers to spread the word - RLWD is international 🫡

Palermo had a lot of talented street artists and manoeuvring around the city it was great to see this expressed. Loved the art in the alleys off the beaten track like this one.

Can’t end a day in Sicily without a sick meal. Devoured a local Parma ham pizza before chilling for the evening. Again food was 10/10 🍕 taken in Palermo, Sicily by @ryan_loughran_webdesign

Desk of the Day — Paris 🇫🇷

If you’ve been following the series, you’ll know the desk can change pretty often. Today’s has me working with one of the most recognisable views in the world behind me — the Eiffel Tower.

I want to keep sharing a bit more from my travels and highlight the places I get to work from along the way.

Paris has brought a completely different kind of design inspiration. The architecture, the details and the way the city blends the old with the new have definitely given me plenty to think about.

Onto the next 🫡

Desk of the Day — Sicily 🇮🇹

If you’ve been following the series, you’ll know the desk can change pretty often. Today’s has me camouflaging in with the rocky shoreline in Sicily.

I want to start sharing a bit more from my travels and highlight the places I get to work from along the way.

Sicily has brought a whole lot of design inspiration and has been a great example of how quality always ends up on top.

Onto the next 🫡

📍 Donegal, Ireland

Starting a new series: sharing the places I’m setting up my laptop and getting work done from along the way.

Ireland (home) felt like the perfect place to kick things off.

Remote work has changed the way I feel about Ireland. You don’t always need a holiday booked to experience somewhere new.

Sometimes all you need is the freedom to take in everything Ireland has to offer. With the obvious addition of the laptop, good WiFi, and access to good coffee.

Shoutout @thebakeryshack for supplying the latter 🤝

Donegal has set the bar pretty high for the first one.

This week’s office: Belfast 📍

One of the biggest perks of running an online business is that your workspace doesn’t have to be the same four walls every day.

With Fleadh weekend bringing plenty of energy to the city, it felt like a good excuse to head up north for a few days and work from somewhere different.

A change of scenery, a laptop, and a good coffee can go a long way when you’re getting your morning work done before heading into the city.

Coffee supplied by @bakarilittlesister as always when I’m home ☕🤝

Not a bad spot to get some work done. taken in Belfast by @ryan_loughran_webdesign

DIGITAL NOMAD LIFE 🌴💻
Tips to make it work for you – Part 2

One thing I’ve realised is that being a digital nomad isn’t about working more or less...

It’s about working in a way that gives you the freedom to actually live life properly.

A few things that help me make it work:

🌊 Get your important work done first. It’s a lot easier to enjoy a surf , hike or cheeky waterfall dip when you’re not thinking about your inbox.

💻 Find places that make you want to open your laptop. You’d be surprised how much your environment can affect your mindset.

⏱️ Don’t try to force a 9–5. One of the biggest perks of remote work is being able to plan your day around what matters most. Your work is done when its complete not when the bell goes at 5pm!

🌍 Make the most of where you are. Whether it’s an hour in the sea catching waves, a beach walk, or trying a new coffee spot, that’s the whole point.

For me, that’s what digital nomad life is all about. Work hard, enjoy the freedom you’ve created, and do it all again tomorrow. by @ryan_loughran_webdesign

DIGITAL NOMAD LIFE 🌴💻
Tips to make it work for you – Part 3

One thing I’ve learned about digital nomad life:

The biggest opportunities usually come from putting yourself out there.

It’s easy to arrive somewhere new, work from your laptop, and leave without ever really experiencing the place.

A few things that help me make the most of it:

🤝 Talk to people.
Whether it’s a coworking space, a local café, or an event, the conversations you have can lead to new friendships, opportunities, and ideas.

🌎 Don’t just visit places — experience them.
Try local spots, learn about the area, and spend time away from the usual tourist routes.

💻 Join communities.
Other remote workers, entrepreneurs, and creatives are often looking to connect too. You never know where one conversation can lead.

🚀 Say yes more often.
The best parts of this lifestyle usually happen outside your normal routine.

For me, being a digital nomad isn’t just about where you work.

It’s about the people you meet, the experiences you have, and the opportunities you create along the way.

Digital Nomad Life – Airport tips that actually help ✈️💻 (Part 1)

Airports are one of those places that can actually become really productive once you learn how to use them properly.

Here’s what’s worked for me:

🔋 I always arrive fully charged - laptop, phone, headphones - everything ready to go.

📶 Treat airport WiFi as a backup, not a plan.
Hotspot or mobile data keeps everything running smoothly when the airport wifi is pants.

🎧 Headphones in - chaos out.
It helps me get into work mode quickly, even in a hectic terminal.

⏳ Work in short, flexible bursts.
Airports are great for getting things done, just not long uninterrupted sessions. Not a place to be coding.

📂 Keep a simple list of tasks ready for travel time - emails, admin, planning, ideas.
Easy wins that keep things moving between flights.

Once you figure out your rhythm, airports stop being downtime and start becoming useful work time.
