Although I didn’t reach my ultimate goal, I did achieve something that I’ve been working towards for awhile. At the start of high school I never would have guessed I’d be where I am today. The discipline and sacrifice this sport has taught me through the many trials is something I will continue to use throughout the rest of my life and collegiate career. Thank you to all the teammates and coaches who have believed in me and pushed me throughout the last 4 years. I’m gonna miss y’all.

This chapter is over but my story is just starting.

I am excited to announce my commitment to Roanoke College! I’d like to thank God for giving me the opportunity and ability to pursue wrestling at the collegiate level. I’d also like to thank my family, friends, coaches and teammates that have supported me through everything and helped push me to get this far. Lastly, thank you Coach Yetzer, Coach Rosenbaum and Coach Gerardi for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this great program. Go Maroons!🦅#commited #gomaroons by @ryan_saunders31
