Belief is a powerful thing.

When you believe in something you don’t need constant proof that your efforts are worthwhile. Think about going to the gym. You don’t see immediate results. But you know it is working.

The most successful people typically have more belief in what they are doing. They don’t need reassurance. Because they trust their instincts.

If you don’t believe in it. You won’t ever get to that result you have in mind.

Today is my wife Nicole's birthday.

Birthdays are a funny thing. They signify the day we were put on this earth but in many ways they have little consequence to how our lives go or what we make of them.

And once we start getting up there in age they really do just start to feel like another day on the calendar. Nicole and I are both working today. We have kid stuff and football games and all the stuff that life throws at us every day. There is barely enough time to even stop and reflect on what this day really means.

But I want to take that moment here in this post because my wife deserves it.

It's hard to put into words how glad I am that this day happened - that Jordan Nicole Beasley was born. That she grew to be the woman, the wife, and the mother that she is today.

She is tough. She is smart. She is funny. She is graceful. She is loyal. She is reliable. She is steady.

A lot of people say things like this or write things in a card but here is the difference - Nicole lives it. She is the real deal.

I don't always know exactly what to say to convey my feelings for her but the best word that I can come up with is honor. It's an honor to be your husband. To get to celebrate you on this day. To get to experience life with you and watch you grow into the woman and leader that you are.

Happy Birthday Nicole - I love you and can't wait to celebrate you this weekend

The irony here on your birthday is that we are the ones that receive the gift.
