TEAM WATOTO 2026! Grateful to be a part of such an unbelievable team in The Pearl of Africa, Uganda over the last two weeks. Already missing each of them. .

Hello friends! I just returned from a 2 week mission trip to Africa. This was my third time working with Watoto church based in Uganda, The Pearl of Africa as coined by Winston Churchill. They say the third time you visit, you are no longer considered a guest, but family; that sentiment is surely felt. I was joined by 33 passionate creatives from around the world, each masters in their craft. Humbled to lock arms with them. Our primary focus was to invest in students from @watotoworshipacademy coming from over 3 campuses honing their creative, technical, and leadership skills. Thank you @bradandrebekah for the opportunity to invest once again, what God has built through your obedience that started with a few donated guitars is having a truly profound kingdom impact. Though we will never all be in the same place together again, this family lives on. And the memories and impact will last a lifetime. taken in Watoto Child Care Village Suubi by @ryanbuckland

One month ago I traveled to Kampala Uganda with a wonderful group of +30 friends from all across the world. There we each invested in students of @watotoworshipcollective from many various disciplines in addition to facilitating recording a live album, the culmination of over 12 years of writers coming together and sharing through pen and paper what Jesus has done. I can’t wait for you to hear this special record come to life.

This experience was an honor to be invited back into. These pictures tell many stories, many of which occurred on a village hill called suubi… or ‘Hope.’ This is a place of restoration and healing, one of new dreams, and one of life again for vulnerable women and children. Tremendous gratitude for all the photographers and videographers telling these stories through their lens. THANK YOU @qsablan @mariahbrinkphoto @graysoncole @daverubie @richardcause.

Fewer places in life have I sensed the very nearness of God inhabiting the praises of his people as was witnessed here in this place.

Many cups of coffee consumed, thank you @coffeelife… you’re my hero. Many meals around tables of friends new and old; thank you @iambenkalinimi and @kirisaemanu and your teams for being such gracious hosts to us. You are family. Many late nights problem solving together with legendary @blairdrake, @bedebk, and @spataeric. Couldn’t think of a better crew… Filled with gratitude to have pulled this off together. And with that, delivering 20 unique monitor mixes was a fun challenge.. don’t try at home kids. Honorary mention of @iamsloth as the newest member of the production crew, this man can stage manage yall 🔥

I walk away from this journey still processing; and I will continue for quite some time. For now, I reflect on these special moments captured and more importantly the treasured people found there within. The people of Watoto will always have a part of my heart, and being a part of this wildly gifted team was once in a lifetime.

Last and certainly not least… Endless love for @bradandrebekah…. I could share forever on this one… truly, thank you. Thank you for your commitment and for trusting each of us with a small piece in this story. taken in Watoto Child Care Village Suubi by @ryanbuckland

Happy mother’s day to the very best around, @rebekahbryce. She is an amazing woman and is intentional in all things. Compassionate, humorous, and an example of Jesus wherever she goes. I couldn’t dream of a better mom for our son, Hayden. We are so proud to have you and thank you for how well you love. taken in Balboa Park by @ryanbuckland

Just returned from a few weeks in Africa. Part of my heart will forever be knitted to Uganda. God is moving in this country and I’m grateful for the opportunity to invest in the lives of students at Watoto church in learning live audio. I could not have asked to be a part of a more gifted and special team as this one. Thank you @bradandrebekah and @blairdrake for entrusting me with this, I am grateful beyond words. I will never forget this special place and the people here. taken in Katende, Mpigi, Uganda by @ryanbuckland
