I wonder what the conversation in heaven would have been 40 years ago in heaven. “I think the world needs more peace.”“I think the world needs more joy.”“I think the world needs somebody to listen.”“I think the world needs somebody to care.”So, God created Kelsi. When I look at the list above, it reminds me of the Fruit of the Spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, goodness, and self control. As the one closest to her day-in and day-out, she embodies these not as a goal but as just who she is. Today, as she turns 40, send her a note on how she’s encouraged you in some way. Fuel Holy Spirit’s fire within her. Encouragement allows us to see how God works in our midst and through people like my beautiful, Spirit-filled bride Kelsi. Happy Birthday LOML! by @ryanecole

Today is a day for our family. It could be a day of sorrow, of remembrance, or even joy. Eight years ago today, we delivered our son, Whitson—but he was already home in Heaven.Kelsi and I have learned a book’s worth of lessons in the years since. We’ve shared those lessons with many, hoping to encourage others along the way. But on anniversaries, we simply sit and remember. We remember our son, but mostly, we focus on The Son.Jesus carried us. We knew Him before that day, but we truly learned who He is while walking through the fire. Because of Jesus, our marriage is whole. Because of Him, we had the hope to heal. Today, we exist in the tension: we are thankful for His comfort, yet somber in our yearning. We let the day happen organically, without pressure or “shoulds.”I’m writing this from a lower bunk in the Dominican Republic, on a mission trip with a group of men. Two of them have their sons with them. I think of how sweet it would be to have Whitson here—but then I think of his view. He is experiencing beauty beyond measure and joy unexplainable. He is where real life is. That is the hope we are sharing with people here who have nothing: it is all because of Jesus.Remembering doesn’t mean you haven’t healed; it means you are human and you care.Happy birthday, son. Tell Jesus thank you for everything, and give Him a hug for me. by @ryanecole

Last year, my family and I traveled to the Dominican Republic on our first missions trip, and it changed us in profound ways. This picture takes me back to a sweet Haitian family we met—chickens in their living room, four to six people sharing a space about the size of a 10’ x 12’ office. What stayed with me most wasn’t what they lacked, but their generosity. With so little, they welcomed us in and shared freely.This February (February 7–14, 2026), I’ll be returning to the Dominican Republic with a group of men on a construction missions trip to help build safe, lasting spaces for families and communities in need. Are we going to change the world in a week? 2025. Great year! A few highlights:- First full year @trace.church was in our new building 560 baptisms. That’s incredible! - My role changed to Care & Men’s Pastor thanks to @aaronrpennington and @juliesathoff seeing me, pushing me, trusting me, and equipping me. - I GOT ORDAINED! Huge blessing. - Our family went on our first mission trip together and got to see Kennedy share Jesus with kids. Wow. - @kelsijcole and I celebrated 15 years of marriage and Kennedy turned 12! - I had the privilege of marrying a few folks! - Kelsi and I lead a @foreknownministries retreat with @alysonsbrown and @sir__jono in Kansas City. - My team and I held a men’s retreat in March and Kelsi and her team held a women’s retreat in November for Trace Church. Lives changed! - Foreknown had the largest Wave of Light in Colorado to date! We also had some downs, starting with two broken arms for Kennedy and having to put little Bijou down amongst other things, but God was with us through it all.Yep, that’s just a small sample of the Cole highlight reel. Not to boast, but to celebrate and share. God is so good. Hold onto hope. Jesus loves you and through it all wants to celebrate with you each and every day! Happy new year! by @ryanecole

How was your year? Do you know the true answer behind that question? Many times the negative things overrun all the good that happened. Pain can be louder than joy. Sit down today and do an audit of 2025. Take a look at:- Your notes- Your photos- Your posts- Your calendarWhere did God do something amazing that you weren’t expecting? Where did you grow? Where did He bless you? Protect you? Love you? Encourage you? Go into 2026 expectant of a loving God that deeply desires to spend more time with you. However much time you spent with Him last year, double it! You can’t go wrong! Here’s to an incredible end of this year and start to the next! by @ryanecole

Merry Christmas from the Coles 🤍Our hearts are so full after such a meaningful Christmas at Trace Church. The Christmas services were incredible and we love that Kennedy had the opportunity to read part of the Christmas story in front of more than 5500 people. Watching her boldly proclaim the story of Jesus was a moment we will treasure.Above all the lights, music, and celebrations, we are reminded that the greatest gift of Christmas is Jesus Himself. God with us. Our hope. Our Savior. It’s time to go back! Last summer, Kelsi, Kennedy and I went on our first missions trip and it was so impactful and powerful, I can’t wait to get back there! This February (Feb 7–14, 2026), I’ll be heading to the Dominican Republic with a group of men to serve on a construction missions trip—helping build safe, lasting spaces for families and communities in need.Christmas reminds us that Jesus stepped into our broken world, not from a distance, but with His hands and His presence. So proud of this girl. Kennedy lit up the stage as “Fluff”, in @ascentchristianschool ’s production of Honk Jr this semester. Five shows in two and a half days and these kids absolutely crushed it. Watching her step into something she now loves and shine with so much confidence has been the sweetest gift. Could not be prouder of her or this amazing cast. by @ryanecole
