Meet Ryan Grant: Candidate for Student Body PresidentRyan is a junior from Moseley, Virginia, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Since the fall of 2023, he has been an active member of Alpha Tau Omega, serving in several leadership positions including Vice President, Recruitment Chair, Historian, and Scholarship Chair. Beyond his chapter, he has also served as Vice President of Recruitment for the Interfraternity Council and as an At-Large Representative in the Student Government Association.Ryan’s decision to attend ECU marked the beginning of a transformative chapter in his life. Arriving on campus from a new state and knowing only a few people, he quickly learned what it meant to step outside his comfort zone. What began as uncertainty soon turned into opportunity, as ECU became a place where he found community and a passion for service. Through leadership involvement and personal growth, the university has played a defining role in shaping who he is today ultimately inspiring his decision to run for Student Body President. Outside of campus leadership, he enjoys traveling with friends and spending time on the water. Activities that allow him to recharge while staying connected to the people and experiences he values most.When asked why he wants to run for this position, this is what he had to say: “I’ve had the opportunity to work with many people from all kinds of different backgrounds, giving me the leadership and teamwork skills that it takes to run an organization that advocates for all students on and off campus. Audrey and I have a clear vision of what this great university can offer to itsstudents and alumni. By building meaningful relationships both on campus and in the Greenville community, we aim to make ECU more than a university.
