I consider myself fortunate to have witnessed the greatness of @errolspencejr throughout the years. I watched him go from a prospect to a unified world champion and now a retired future hall-of-famer. He went out on his shield and called it quits on his own terms. Enjoy your retirement, champ. You’ve earned it.

Today is my birthday, and this one was special.

My Uncle Jim recently passed away, and his memorial was this week in a part of Virginia that is close to both sides of my family, many of whom I haven’t seen in 10+ years. While the circumstances of the visit were unfortunate, this trip was filled with a lot of laughs and stories of memories from times when we were all a bit more connected.

I will take home many good memories from this trip, but one in particular will remain with me until the day I die.

This morning, I got a tattoo alongside my cousin (Uncle Jim’s son) and my dad (Uncle Jim’s brother). The two of them got matching tattoos to memorialize their father and brother, and I got a tattoo of a mended heart to commemorate the date of my heart surgery in 2022, a monumental time of my life. To make it even better, this was my dad’s first tattoo.

Life is crazy right now but I’m glad I had the opportunity to be with my family during this time. It was a welcomed reminder of what’s really important in life. ♥️❤️‍🩹 taken in True Craft Tattoo by @ryanhafey

I’ve been to many fighter training camps, but never have I ever gotten stuck in the snow, gone sledding, completed (sort of) a military-grade obstacle course, broken my dead hang record, and been beaten to the body by a world champion boxer all in a single visit.
