For the launch of Xyngular’s new Method Protein, the goal with this sensory video was to bring the flavor to life—texture, movement, ingredients and all those little details that make you want to take a bite.

When you’re selling food, supplements or anything flavor-driven online, your customer can’t taste or smell the product before they buy. That’s why sensory content is such an important part of a product launch.

Don’t just show them the product. Make them crave it.

Content you can taste.

When someone is shopping online, they can’t taste it, smell it, or touch it. So as a product photographer, the challenge is: how do you visually communicate flavor in a way that makes someone feel like they already know what it tastes like?

Texture, ingredients, lighting, movement, macro details—all working together to create that sensory experience.

BTS → final images from this two-light setup for @xyngular’s new Modern Multi. 🌿

I wanted this set to feel dark, moody, and natural, so I used directional lighting with moss and volcanic rock to build the scene.

Proof that you don’t need a complicated setup—just intentional light and the right textures. 🤌🏻

For this Advanced Omega set, I wanted everything to feel minimal and elevated—using stone, water, and directional light to bring out the deep color and transparency of the softgels.

Moody lighting 📷🌿

BTS → final images from this two-light setup using two Amaran 300c’s.

Kept the light controlled and directional to create that dark, natural feel while still giving the product and ingredients just enough separation to pop.

Sometimes you really don’t need a complicated setup to get the shot. 🤌🏻

Reminder that not every product video needs 15 different shots.

I usually love cutting multiple clips together with music, sound effects, transitions, all of it…

But sometimes you just gotta let one satisfying shot breathe🍦🫐

My fake soft serve tutorial kinda popped off… so we’re running it back for those who didn’t see it 😂🍦

Same recipe, new variation 🫐

🍦 2 tubs of frosting
🍦 ½–1 full bag powdered sugar, depending on the consistency you want
🍦 ¼ cup corn syrup
🍦 A little food coloring

Mix until you get that perfect soft serve consistency, add the corn syrup for a little extra shine, then pipe it like soft serve.

Perfect for product shoots because it looks real AND doesn’t melt under the studio lights 🙌🏻

Save this for your next shoot!

Apparently you guys liked the fake soft serve 😂🍦 so here’s another one.

Same exact mixture as my last post, just added a little purple food coloring to make this blueberry soft serve 🫐

Super simple, holds its shape under studio lights, and you can make it pretty much any color you need.

That soft serve is 100% fake 🍦😂

No soft serve machine? No problem.

🍦 2 tubs of frosting
🍦 About ½ bag powdered sugar
🍦 ¼ cup corn syrup

Mix the frosting + powdered sugar, adding more or less until you get the consistency you want. Add the corn syrup for that little bit of shine that helps sell the soft serve look.

Throw it in a piping bag and pipe away 🙌🏻

Doesn’t melt under the lights and photographs pretty damn convincingly 😂

Save this for your next ice cream shoot! 🍦📸
