What a magical evening celebrating the Bahamas’s triumphant return to the Venice Biennale. To be recognized as one of the 10 best national pavilions in the world, for a country of less than half a million people, is nothing short of remarkable. While it’s been a heavy month for our nation with the recent tragedy in Andros, this is something we can all be proud of. I’m grateful to have played a small role in helping make it happen and we’re already looking forward to 2028.

Major congrats to @lavar.munroe.studio, @iamjohnedwardcox, @coulson_amanda, Dr Krista Thompson, Erica Wells Cox, @thebahamasinvenice committee, and the entire team of contributors of which there are too many to name. Congrats to the family of the late John Beadle whose work continues to guide us forward. And thanks to @bahamarresorts and its leaders Graeme Davis and Robert “Sandy” Sands for their generous patronage and hospitality.

Art has the power to inspire us all and shape the world. It has the power to move us to be better, fuller human beings. The Bahamas Pavilion is open until November. I highly encourage you to visit if you can. See you on the other side.

Five years ago, MAISON was an idea I wasn’t sure would work.

A boutique brokerage. A small market. Competing against firms with decades of legacy and infrastructure I didn’t have. Most people would have called it a bad bet.

Turns out the market had room for something new. Turns out clients wanted a firm that showed up differently. Turns out the standard we set for ourselves — quietly, at the beginning — is the one that’s making the difference now.

Some days I sit somewhere like this and have to remind myself it’s real.

Not the view. The fact that I’m in it.

I didn’t grow up around this. My mother scraped and sacrificed to send me to a private school — not a rich one, but one that opened up my way of thinking. That changed everything.

I was always a dreamer. Even in high school, I never put limits on what I thought was possible for me. Maybe that was naïve. Maybe that was the whole point.

The dream was a corner office in New York.

College didn’t last. One lucky break opened the door. The NYC corner office never happened.

But here I am.

Earned, not given. 🇧🇸

Not gonna lie — some mornings I still have to drag myself out of bed.

Building something from nothing will do that to you. Some weeks the wins feel impossible. Some weeks I’m exhausted in ways I don’t talk about. But I keep showing up. Because the people on the other side of this work — the team I’m building, the family I’m building for, the clients who trusted me before I had any business asking them to — they deserve me at my best.

So I get up. I put on the suit. I go to work.

This is MAISON. This is what we’re building. And we’re just getting started. 🇧🇸

This place. 🦁

A few days in at @thandasafari and I genuinely cannot believe what I’m seeing. Lions at sunrise. Giraffes grazing 30 feet from our breakfast. A reserve where the privacy is real and the wild is wilder than anything you can imagine until you’re actually here.

What most people don’t know: you can own here. Thanda Royal Residences is a by-invitation-only ownership and membership opportunity in the Royal Thanda Club — elegant safari-chic villas set on expansive private estates, inside a compound that’s home to the Big Five. The kind of welcome you only get from the Zulu people, in a place that doesn’t really exist anywhere else.

This is what I love about the work I get to do — being introduced to worlds most people don’t even know are an option. The Bahamas is home. Always will be. But there’s a whole planet of extraordinary places out there, and I’m here for all of it.

Another trip around the sun. 🎉

Standing in a place the kid I used to be couldn’t have imagined on his most ambitious day. Working-class start. Mother who scraped. A dream of New York that turned into something else entirely. Today: South Africa. On my birthday. Watching the sun go down over a country I never thought I’d see.

Grateful doesn’t begin to cover it. To everyone who’s ever cheered me on, prayed for me, or believed when there wasn’t much to believe in — thank you.

The only way to arrive. A low aerial line from King Shaka into Thanda, the reserve opening beneath us, the Royal Residences waiting at the end of it.

Today we walked the land with fellow @forbesglobalproperties members who travelled to see it for themselves, @immo.dane of @doerfert.exclusive in Germany and @ryanknowlesco of @maisonbahamas.

Some properties have to be felt from the air before they make sense on the ground.

Swipe through our morning at The Penthouses at Goldwynn 👇

Took the team up for a proper look, and you can probably tell from our faces how it went. I see a lot of product across Nassau — this one earns it.

Flow-through residences, ocean on one side and golf course on the other, private entry to each. The amenities are everything you’d expect at this level — infinity pool with f&b service, gym, sauna, steam, cold plunge, 24-hour security — plus full access to everything at Goldwynn next door. There’s even flexibility on rentals, which is a nice touch at this tier.

What stays with you, though, is how it all comes together. It’s a genuinely special spot on the Nassau skyline.
