SEASON II - Lets GO!

What an awesome experience it was to direct two episodes of HOMESTEAD @homestead.series

Season II drops November 3rd on the Angel Studies Network. HUGE thank-you to Ben Kasica, Ben Smallbone, Andrea Royer and Markus Bishop Hill for trusting me with their baby. This show is MASSIVE and could not be done without the insanely talented cast and the amazing crew making magic behind the scenes. Such great memories getting to direct on this series. Thanks everyone! #homestead #directorslife #canadiandirector #rollcameras

EXTINCT - EPISODE ONE
I loved directing the pilot of the TV series “Extinct”. There were so many VFX in this episode that we storyboarded most of it. It was crazy hot when we shot. 118 degrees some days…. but we survived and helped to give mankind a “second chance.” The series has been in the TOP TEN on Amazon Prime for 7 WEEKS now. Could not be more thrilled! Thanks to all the fans for making that happen. #directorslife #extinct #scifi #rollcameras #amazonprime

Check out the official trailer to @homestead.series Season 2! Premiering November 3rd on @angel.

This was a huge undertaking and probably the most challenging project I’ve worked on to date. It stretched me in all the right ways and made me a better filmmaker and leader. I’m incredibly proud of the team behind the scenes and of what we achieved in such a short window of time.

Looking back at Homestead the movie and now Season 2, these past three years have been an extraordinary journey of self-discovery and one of the highlights of both my life and career. Another champagne moment I’ll never take for granted.

Thank you again to Ben Kasica, @bensmallbone @andrea__royer. Always a pleasure to team up with you guys and make something fun. 🚀🎥

Every Film Noir needs some good GUN PLAY. Loved directing this scene. Intense! And “Kudos” to Tom Hutch (Sterling) who did his own stunts. I think he’s ready for level 2 - High falls… while on fire 🔥 #rollcameras #thirddegree #directorslife #filnoir #onset by @ryanlittle_director

VIDEO VILLAGE on a Film Noir has to be in a dark ominous place right? It just makes sense. Thanks @filmcraftla for the chair. #thethirddegree #settingthemood #directorslife by @ryanlittle_director

DAY 1! Let’s Go! Such a great cast and crew on this one. I am a huge fan of FILM NOIR. Such a great genre. Always excited to be in the directors chair. #directorslife #london #filmnoir by @ryanlittle_director

Talking “The Third Degree” on the Filmmaker Mixer podcast with host Jeff Stolhand. Producer / Screenwriter MCKAY DAINES and Director RYAN LITTLE chat about their experiences making a Film Noir set in 1930’s London. You can see the whole interview on the Filmmaker Mixer YouTube channel or listen to it on Apple podcasts “Making a Whodunit.” Thanks guys for having us on the show. “Sir William! Not another step. And you Sir…. Put that blade down. Gentleman this cannot continue in this manner.” - WARRICK (Eric Geynes)

Film Noir has always been a favorite genre of mine. It’s was amazing to be transported back in time on this film. Shooting in a historical building with actors in period clothes made the script come alive. #thirddegree #filmnoir #ericgeynes
