We happen to be alive during what may become the most consequential technological transition humanity has ever experienced.

AI will not simply change what we do. It may change what we are.

Of every human generation that has existed, ours may be the last to live entirely within the biological limits of Homo sapiens. Brain–computer interfaces—whether implanted or non-invasive—could extend human cognition beyond the brain itself.

At that point, the prefrontal cortex is no longer the most powerful intelligence available to us. Human intelligence becomes coupled to something larger.

If that happens, then we are in the extraordinary position of witnessing the transition ourselves: the last generation of unaugmented Homo sapiens watching the next form of human intelligence emerge.

And we just happened to be born now. 🤔

How utterly weird our world is becoming new realities, springing up everywhere; opinions polarise, with more air between voices and silence from the middle ground. Where will we be, I wonder? Anthropic acts like they're creating religion: “thou shalt not shout at our AI”, as they build their data centre cathedrals and preach of a slowdown never meant for them.
Where will will we be when western schools where teachers prepare their students to enter the world in 1983 hoping they buy records and cassettes and forget AI as a tool because education is built by fools who can't see beyond 1983 they can't even see what happens the very next year with government totalitarian wars in the year 1984 #ww3 #1984

I wrote this song ten years ago. This is a new version of the original, and it was a clash video of the day. It's more disturbing than this, and all I did was run up and down a forest with an iPhone and turn it into a Blair Witch vibe: close-ups of screams, and wow, it was quite shocking, as this might be for some. The important thing is to go dark to journey down that oh my god this is so depressing vine but to come out in the light and smell the fresh air and give the viewers a happy ending which I promise this feature film has but it's a journey to get to it. #ww3 #war #aifilmmaking #dronewars #aifilms by @ryanlouderart

Lazy solutions; it's funny how some things are never solved. And always, when, where do I put my mouse? Where do I put it? They never—why wouldn't you design a mixing desk for a mouse and keyboard? I know Avid Pro Tools designed it, and then they're like, "Accessory mouse and keyboard mount: £2,000." So I was like, why have I been moving the mic and the keyboard over the faders for years? Why haven't I thought of a solution or got some mount?
