Sleepless night, leaving Nantucket in the morning my car is packed with all my belongings. This is like a song or whatever you wanna call it experiment in the Beachside hotel these tuning forks and the sound is resonating resignation not resignation residence. This is talk to text by the way residence I kind of like this I’m gonna keep all of these mistakes the residence of the tuning forks through my guitar and the guitar tuned to the frequencies that the tune forks are a little bit of guitar and a little bit of synthesis a little bit of drum beats some captures of a cold windy beach day playing with shadows good morning and good night spooky one I guess good for October Halloween coming into a close in this six month adventure season and Nantucket I’ve been out here mixing sound watching the ocean and passing the time I will be emerging and hopefully see you soon so many things have happened so many things haven’t happened. I do miss you. You know who I’m talking about so many lifetimes if you know what I mean anyway 5:05 AM Beachside hotel Nantucket, Massachusetts on an island sleepless night, post for empty ears and empty eyes. by @ryanrooney_

“Cannon street Sam”. 2023 on a stage in Thermopolis Wyoming. If you know me, you know the story. by @ryanrooney_

2020. Marfa TX. @marfapublicradio was asking local musicians to submit songs while under quarantine. This is “lungs” Towns VanZandt. by @ryanrooney_

There’s a little instrumental that I recorded in Taos, New Mexico a while back into a handful of demos out there by myself for some solo Therapy reflection you can find this on Bandcamp if you haven’t noticed by now I’ve taken all of my music off of your normal streaming services so it’s on Bandcamp the Album, Cannon Street, Sam, that was sort of musical therapy series of demos dedicated to Sam Leblanc by @ryanrooney_

Here’s a little blast from the past working with the band Kaleo. They’re an Icelandic band went to Iceland and wrangle this iceberg and set up a band on it electricity or generator on a little boat cables dangling through the water. Another boat with a recording equipment, went out and pulled in this iceberg and set up drums and monitors and amps and everything and do the live recording got rained on. I thought that I was gonna die several times, but this is one of the bigger adventures I’ve had as a Sound Engineer. I was actually a photographer and videographer on this one as well as Sound. I figured I would share it here. by @ryanrooney_

Ps. I make music for film. Here’s something I did awhile ago for a short film called “Moradora” dir by Vanessa Pla by @ryanrooney_

I’m out here in Nantucket working the weekends mostly right now and figured I’d spend some time practicing a little songwriting coming up progressions for no particular thing maybe somebody want custom theme song or something like that anyway I’ve got some time here and there anyone needs any guitar tracks or anything like that for some mixes done this was just today was really sunny this morning and didn’t get cloudy and a little cold I was playing with CapCut and put too many filters on trying to make a one of those videos that everyone likes but it’s shortcomings. I’m just talking to text. I have no idea what this is going to say but I hope everyone’s doing all right and I love you too. Happy Mother’s Day. by @ryanrooney_

Last one today. Another jam I did a cpl weeks ago. Some of my art I animated a year or so ago. Other random clips. Was trying to make a hip hop beat…. by @ryanrooney_

I’ll prob take this down. I hadn’t recorded anything for awhile and this came out. I used a super cheap mic from 1960 something. The lyrics are improvised. I’m not sure what it’s about. But I know what it makes me think about. I thought some clips of solo driving fit the song. I’ve done quite a bit of that. Anyway by @ryanrooney_

This was an experiment in building a drum beat using an arpeggiator to create polyrhythms… making music is an escape from reality. Especially instrumental music. It’s been difficult to write lyrics in such a fucked up censored time of mayhem stupidity and atrocities. I hope you can find the same space I was able to find making this by listening to it. Made last week in Nantucket. Oh the video… I typed in crystals in my photos app and found a bunch of cave and crystal pics who I effected. by @ryanrooney_

This is a cover of can that I did back when I was in Mattapoisett trying to teach myself how to record Drums one of my favorite drum beats of all time so it was a challenge. It’s a little sloppy, but I like it. The video is alive. Can’t show that I face swapped my face on all of their faces and synced up to the audio. by @ryanrooney_
