A few images from a recently commissioned shoot in the Highlands.

It’s not something I’ve broadcast much here, but the day job consists of property photography, so it was great to mix a bit of that with my outdoor work on this shoot.

This was a joy to capture, with hopefully more like it to come in the future 🏡 taken in Argyll & Bute by @ryanrosscurran

My first time down Glen Etive and it didn’t disappoint! This part of Scotland really is spectacular.

This capture is from the River Etive, with the distinctive peak of An Grianan in the background.

Loch Garry last Autumn before the mist rolled in.

This was an impromptu stop on the way up to the Outer Hebrides, as I could see the light was beginning to improve.

Calm conditions made for some lovely reflections on the loch. taken in Scottish Highlands by @ryanrosscurran

One from my most recent trip to North Uist.

I’m having a lot of fun getting to know this impressive island, with its mix of world-class beaches, ruined buildings and distinctive peaks.

In truth I didn’t need to do a lot for this image - it’s the kind of subject that does all the work for you! taken in Outer Hebrides by @ryanrosscurran

Glencoe Lochan a few months back, with the distinctive peak of Sgòrr na Cìche visible through the cloud.

It won’t be long until this place is wearing its autumn jacket, so another visit will definitely be required! 🍂 taken in Glencoe Lochan by @ryanrosscurran

It was great to be among the hills again this week, even if conditions weren’t particularly favourable for photography.

As someone who is inherently impatient, I’m surprised every time I go out with my camera that I can stand in the same spot for hours, waiting for ‘something’ to happen.

On this occasion, nothing much materialised, apart from a bank of cloud that moved in and enhanced the mood of the scene a little.

That’s what I love about landscape photography. You don’t know what you’re going to get when you head out, and mother nature is firmly in charge. by @ryanrosscurran

No visible eclipse for us tonight in Glasgow, so here’s a somewhat related image from a recent trip to Northumberland.

I didn’t know it at the time, but this was to be my last adventure with my Dad, who sadly passed away last week.

He was tuned in to all things nature, and I’m sure he would have been paying close attention this evening. taken in Northumberland Coast by @ryanrosscurran

I’m not long back from an amazing four day holiday exploring the Outer Hebrides with @robynnalicee, taking in Harris, North Uist and Eriskay among a few other islands.

This image was taken from the beautiful Clachan Sands on North Uist, where we were blessed with some sunshine despite the gloomy forecast a few days prior.

I’ve already booked tickets to return in September, such is the pull of these islands! taken in Outer Hebrides by @ryanrosscurran

A faint rainbow lighting up the Buachaille Etive Mòr earlier this week 🌈

To top it off, the crowds were yet to descend on the place, so I had this spot all to myself! taken in Glencoe, Scottish Highlands by @ryanrosscurran
