On this sacred day of your precious human birth, the world was graced with a miracle. You chose to return, like a good little bodhisattva, and in so doing you charted a course to find me once again. It is my great honor to spend this timeless window in time celebrating you.

To know you is to love you. To kiss you is to taste divine nectar. To dance with you in all the ways feels like a dream I dreamed one afternoon long ago.

You inspire me in ways beyond comprehension. From the way you love first and ask questions later, to the way you listen and reflect the truth of what I need to hear. You have this elegant way of illuminating clarity inside the clouds of my confusion, helping me remember who I AM in the midst of my forgetfulness, and making me laugh at the absurdity of it all.

For this, among so many things, I am forever grateful to call you my wife...and the mother of my child!!! WOWOWOW, we’re about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. The path of fatherhood is one I’ve contemplated often over the years. While I was never a hard no, I could not escape the feeling that a driving force for procreation was at worst a cultural imperative, and at best a biological imperative — neither of which factored in whether raising children was part of my dharma in this lifetime.

I have always felt, however, that one day I would meet a woman with whom I am destined to spend the rest of my life. With that belief at the core of my Being, I remained open to the possibility that meeting my beloved would illuminate the truth of this lifelong inquiry. Enter @shaynahiller 💞 Like Sita appearing to Ram, her arrival brought a clarity and sense of dharma like nothing I’ve ever known.

As an astrologer, it’s worth mentioning that a deeper look at my progressed astrology indicates the obviousness of this timeline shift. When my progressed Sun transited out of Sagittarius and into Capricorn, and my insatiable yearning for expansion gave way to a determined focus to build, Shayna appeared. After thirty years of allocating nearly all my resources on solo pursuits I believed would expand my consciousness — endless hours of yoga, meditation, esoteric studies, spiritual practices, plant medicine ceremonies, shamanic training, Buddhist empowerments, depth psychology — everything I believed was essential to attain enlightenment, my paradigm shifted.

It became crystal clear that all my endeavors to gain spiritual expansion on the vertical axis were meaningless without grounded integration in the horizontal plane. And just like that, walking this Earth as a husband, a father, and a teacher became the obvious next wave of my Self realization. Someone once said…”If you want to go faster, go alone. If you want to go further, go with another.”
