‘THE FOUR MINDS OF A TEENAGE BOY’
READ ALL DESCRIPTIONS

‘RAGE’
Acrylic on canvas
40 x 40cm

“You’re evoked, pushed to your limits. Your dad gets fed up, screams in your face, punches a door. Your friends put their hands on you but you just take it. Slowly anger seeps into your veins, it feels acidic but it’s apart of you now.”

‘HATE’
Acrylic on canvas
40 x 40cm

“You hate yourself because of how you are treated, how you’re perceived. You hate the people you’ve put on a pedestal, because without their acknowledgment, you are nothing. You embody their treatment of you, then hate yourself for it, numb the emotions and deal with it, swallow it into resentment.”

‘FEAR’
Acrylic on canvas
40 x 40cm

“You fear judgment, you watch all your movements, what you say and how you think because it has to align with the male ethos. And if it doesn’t, you will understand your place in people’s eyes very quickly. Vulnerability, expression keep it to yourself don’t take the risk in front of people.”

‘SHAME’
Acrylic on canvas
40 x 40cm

“You’re ashamed of who you are and failing to meet standards. You avoid mirrors and cameras. You don’t defend yourself because what are you defending really? You are a disappointment and you don’t know how to change that.” by @ryanstatic_

Some artists create to express. Others create to survive.
@ryanstatic_ belongs to the latter. Between painting and music, his work exists in a space where emotion comes first: unfiltered, unresolved, and deeply human.
No fixed narrative.
No clear destination.
Just a constant return to what feels true.
