KABBALATOONS

Here’s a quick snippet showcasing Rybox Studio’s endeavour to create rich, believable characters and worlds for our clients.

For the full episode, visit our website via the link on our page.

Written and conceived by Tzvi Freeman, KabbalaToons has been one of Rybox Studio’s great honours to work on, in collaboration with Chabad.

It’s a wonderfully different, heartfelt and inventive series that explores some of the many fascinating mystical ideas of Kabbalah — through imagination, humour and adventure — and asks how each of us can play a part in making the world a better place.

We’re very proud to share a little more of this world with you.

The day it all changed 🎬

A little clip from Silver Lake, featuring our beloved protagonists — Sam and Tommy — and, of course, Carl… enjoying what begins as a perfectly ordinary afternoon.

Things rarely stay ordinary for long in Silver Lake.

SILVER LAKE — PRESS INTERVIEW 🎬

The stars of Silver Lake, Noah Higgs and Emily Seinfeld, sat down for one of their first interviews ever.

We at Rybox Studio would like to thank Tucker Ronson for his professionalism, his thoughtful questions, and for giving our little project his gracious platform.

We couldn’t have asked for a better host. Thank again, Tucker!

STORYBOARD → SCREEN ✏️🎬

Storyboarding taught me how to think like a director — where to put the camera, how to stage action, how to build a sequence and, most importantly, how to tell a story visually.

A few frames from projects I’ve been lucky and honoured to work on over the years.

TOKNEO ONTOLOGY ⚔️

A few years ago, Rybox wrote and directed Tokneo Ontology as an animated project for Storiaverse.
He’s always loved the world and the characters, and recently he started wondering what Tokneo might look like if it were a live-action film.

What’s kind of crazy is that he can now take characters that began as sketches and actually explore that idea — turning drawings, designs and storyboards into something that feels like it was filmed for a movie.

So he went back to the original designs, rebuilt the world and started directing Tokneo again — this time through a completely different lens.

This is the result.

SILVER LAKE - TEASER

I’ve been quietly working on this one for a while.

An original story about three 12-year-old friends growing up in a strange little lake town where something has started to go very wrong.

Written & directed by Rybox.

More soon. 🎬 #animationdirector #film #silverlake #originalseries by @rybox_studio

I had the great pleasure of storyboarding again for my friend @alexgabassi on episode 6 of Season 2 of Raised by Wolves.

This scene staring the incredible @niamhalgar was a joy to board. Alex’s work is so impressive - - I’m constantly complimenting him on how much flair he brings with his unique and top notch storytelling talents. 🙌🏻

To note: I’ve added a few frames that were not in the originals boards - - for continuity in the VID.

Storyboard to Screen Comparison ✏️🎥.

Had the pleasure to storyboard this epic climb scene for Director Sunu Gonera and Cinematographer Kolja Brandt in Ep. 4 of the second season of Raised by Wolves. 🗻🐍

I have been meaning to do something like this for years and finally got around it. Here is a scene I storyboarded on Tomb Raider. Under the Direction (and tutelage) of G.A. Aguilar. For all the film geeks that follow me check him out - he is legit. Most times these jobs are super pressured and everything needs to be done yesterday. Mr Aguilar wouldn’t have any of it - I’ve never learnt more on a job; thanks to his patience and openness to teach me.

More to come soon✏️✏️🎥

These messy little scribbles are how it all starts. Mostly jotted whilst following our current director, Sunu Gonera on walk through of our awesome sets. Listening hard as he shares his vision for how the scene will be filmed.

A little bit of my perspective; my P.O.V. working behind the scenes on RBW for @misterjameshawes and cinematographer @emesserschmidt.

Sometimes - if the Director chooses - I’d go on set walk throughs; taking notes. After that I go home and sketch a up a sequence, then present for feedback. These are some clips from a few of those days.

Very grateful I have had opportunities to watch and learn from some of the best!! 🙌🏼🙏🏻🙌🏼

Happy Friday world!! ✨
