I never knew kayak surfing existed until a couple of months ago when I was in Byron Bay for a whale shark kayaking trip.

This time, we decided to team up with the PA Passion Wave guys, who have been actively promoting kayaking in Singapore, to try something completely different. Instead of pulling wakesurfers behind our boat, we towed kayakers to see if they could catch the wake!

It definitely wasn’t as easy as it looked! Huge kudos to all the kayakers who gave it their best, even though they had no prior experience riding waves behind a wake boat. We were genuinely impressed by how close they came to catching the wave just by paddling. 💪👏

Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try it myself because the rain cut our session short. Looks like we’ll have to plan another round soon!

A big shoutout to @marcuskeeofficial for helping out while I was driving, and to @pa.passionwave, especially Kang Wen, for organizing the kayakers.

And if I’m not mistaken, Singapore’s first Everest summiteer also became the first Singaporean to experience surfing a kayak behind a wake boat! What an awesome milestone! 🔥

Wakeboarding 🌊🔥

What’s up everyone!
Today, we’re talking about one of the most exciting water sports out there… WAKEBOARDING 🤙

So, what is wakeboarding?

Wakeboarding is an extreme water sport where you ride a wakeboard while being pulled behind a boat across the water at high speed.

It’s all about speed, style, adrenaline, and having fun out on the water!

How does it work?

First, you’ll need a wakeboard and bindings to strap your feet in nice and tight.

Then, you jump into the water, grab the tow rope, and get ready for the boat to pull you up onto the surface.

Once you’re up… you’re flying across the water 😎🌊

What can you do on a wakeboard?

This is where the fun really begins 🔥

You can do:

* Surface 180s
* Surface 360s
* Board slides
* One wake jumps
* Huge two wake jumps
* Backflips 🤯
* Front flips
* And many more insane tricks as you progress!

Every session is a chance to push yourself higher, ride faster, and land cleaner tricks.

What’s the best part about wakeboarding?

The best feeling is the freedom you get out on the water 🌊

The speed, the air time, the adrenaline rush from every jump — it’s honestly hard to describe until you try it yourself 🤙🔥

And the bonus?
Wakeboarding gives you an awesome full-body workout without feeling like exercise 😁💪

Sundays like this have never been better with @ridewithptw.

@jo_ah_chim - Same guy I went to see the Terracotta Warriors with, climbed Mt. Huashan in China, and traveled to Taiwan multiple times — hiking Snow Mountain and exploring on two wheels.
