In 2025, $1.7 billion in crypto was stolen. Not through some genius hack, but through the same vulnerabilities that have always existed. Exposed seed phrases.

Compromised backups. Wallets that leave no room for human error.

Some of our own team members lost 7 figures to it.
So we stopped waiting for someone else to fix it.

3 years. One wallet. No single point of failure.

If you bought your Ledger device from CryptoBilis, check your receipt.

Buying a hardware wallet is supposed to make you feel safer about holding your crypto. This case shows why what happens to that device before it reaches you matters too. CryptoBilis is an authorised Ledger reseller operating in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. Ledger confirmed an unauthorised hardware implant in at least one affected device.

Bitquery’s updated investigation counts 324 drained wallets across six blockchains. The $102 million figure is an independent estimate, not a final loss total confirmed by Ledger.

“Crypto is backed by nothing.”

But there’s a big difference between owning crypto yourself and seeing a number inside an app.

If your crypto is sitting on an exchange, the exchange is holding it for you.

If you hold it yourself, you control it.

Think of it like this:

Money in someone else’s wallet is not the same as money in your own pocket.

The price of the crypto may be the same, but who controls it is completely different.

That’s what self-custody is about.

Ryder helps you take control of your crypto without making security complicated.

Your crypto. Your keys. Your control.

Ryder. The easiest way to protect your crypto.

One of the first reviews of Ryder One came from @CyberScrilla 👀

A lot has changed since then.

We’ve added support for more coins, improved the Ryder experience, and introduced new features like:

→ Buy
→ Swap
→ Earn

All while keeping the same goal from day one:

Build the easiest way to protect your crypto.

Fun to look back at where we started and even more exciting to see where Ryder is going next.

Crypto is going to zero.

At least, that’s what they’ve been saying for years.

Crypto will always be volatile. Prices can go up 100% and fall 50%. No hardware wallet can protect you from the market.

But there’s another kind of risk you can control:

Who actually controls your crypto?

Holding your own keys changes who can authorize transfers. It means you’re not depending on an exchange, platform, or third party to give you access to your own assets.

Self-custody doesn’t stop Bitcoin from falling.
It doesn’t guarantee your portfolio goes up.
And it definitely doesn’t remove risk.

It simply puts ownership back where it belongs: with you.

Your crypto. Your keys. Your decision.

Ryder makes owning crypto simple enough for anyone.

Tap to create. Tap to send. Tap to recover.

Ryder. The easiest way to protect your crypto.

One of the biggest hacks in crypto just happened. Around $352 million was stolen from Bitget. Withdrawals paused, and customers were left waiting.

According to Bitget’s CEO, attackers broke into an internal system and tricked it into approving transfers. Bitget says customer balances are unchanged and its protection fund covers the loss. That matters. But so does this: in the September 25 update, customers still couldn’t withdraw their crypto.

A balance on your screen and the ability to access your money are two different things. When you leave crypto on an exchange, you depend on that company’s systems, security, and permission to move it.

This is why we’re building Ryder. Self-custody should be simple enough for everyday people. You hold the keys, you control your crypto, and you take responsibility for keeping it safe.

The easiest way to protect your crypto starts with taking control of it. Meet Ryder One. Set up in under 60 seconds.

This trader turned $1,300 into a position valued at $2.12 million with one memecoin. 🤯

It started with an early bet on ZCAT, a Solana memecoin called Anonymous Cat.

That $1,300 bought approximately 24.52 million tokens.

The trader then sold 8.96 million tokens for around $55,000—more than 40 times the original investment.

But the biggest number was still sitting in the wallet.

At the reported snapshot, the remaining 15.57 million tokens were worth approximately $2.12 million.

That was their market value. The trader hadn’t cashed out that amount.

Swipe for the story behind the numbers. →

You don’t need a million-dollar balance to take security seriously. Your crypto deserves care at every balance.

Protect your crypto with Ryder.

Not financial advice. Memecoins are highly speculative, and you can lose your entire investment. This exceptional outcome is not a typical or guaranteed return.

July was not a quiet month for crypto.

Over 100 projects have shut down since January. In July alone, three major exchanges announced closures: AscendEX, BitMEX after 11 years, and BitMart with 13 million users and a hard withdrawal deadline. MiCA came into full effect across Europe, removing dozens of exchanges from the market overnight. Binance suspended new EU sign-ups and MEXC told EU users to withdraw. The list goes on.

The message from regulators, from the market, and from the exchanges themselves has never been clearer: if your crypto sits on a platform you don’t control, you don’t own it. You are holding a promise. And promises have been breaking at an alarming rate.

This is the environment Ryder was built for. And this month, we had a lot to show for it.
