another beautiful Southeast Salt. the theme of my heart over those three days was fulfillment and love. i went in with open hands, wanting whatever the Lord had for me. during the first service, He spoke to me and said, “I’m gonna show you how much I love you.”
the next day, i felt so broken. i didn’t know why, but i just couldn’t get out of my own head. during worship that night, i sat at the back of the room and told God, “i just feel so empty.” He replied, “that’s okay. emptiness is good when it prepares you for fulfillment.” it’s like when you clean a cup. you have to put a little water in it to wash out the dirt. you’re not losing the water, you’re using it to draw out the bad things that are going to taint the water. likewise, sometimes God pulls from us to pull out the impurities, so that we can carry the clean water that He has for us.
so i waited for Him to fill me. and finally, during worship at the last service, He filled me up with His love. it was so profound, so deep, so indescribable, and yet so simple. i was just whole.
then Christian, my awesome brother in Christ who has discipled me, spoke a word over me that was directly from the mouth of Christ. he told me that my being filled wasn’t just for me, but it was so that i could pour out into others. i am loved so that i can show His love to others. so that’s just what i’m gonna do. Lord, please help me to not forget how full of your love i am, and when i do forget, remind me. help me to pour into others as You pour into me.
“what you’ve done in me, Jesus do through me. an offering poured out for you”
