Dear swimming,

i can’t believe that im writing this. feels like yesterday my little eight year old self was just belly flopping off the blocks or running away refusing to wear a cap.

but i just wanted to say thank you. thank you for letting a little girl fall in love with this sport and team 11 years ago and for never looking back.

thank you for introducing me to some of my best friends and creating life long memories. thank you all for being by my side and pushing me through the hard times. thank you to my family for supporting me through my best and my worst. and guiding me to become the woman i am today.

most importantly thank you to each of my coaches throughout the past 11 years. each coach has taught me something different and valuable. every coach has truly shaped me as a person and as a swimmer throughout the years. I don’t think you guys will ever understand my love and appreciation for you all.

and ofc thank you swimming. thank you for showing me what love for a sport really means. thank you for giving me the best experience a girl could ask for.

lastly, thank you Geneva River Rats for making this team a second home for me. not only is this a team but it’s my family and i can’t thank you guys enough.

although my swimming journey has come to an end im so excited for the next chapter!!
