officially a swammer🫧🩵

after 11 years of swimming, its all over. it’s so crazy to think of all the amazing people and memories that have come from this sport. i definitely would not be the person i am today without it. swimming taught me so many things, but most importantly, that sometimes it’s ok for the thing you love the most to be over. over the last couple years, i have dealt with so many mental health issues because of this sport and although i am so sad to be done, i also am so excited for this next chapter of my life. i am so proud of myself for making it this far. although the outcomes were not anything i thought they would be 4 years ago, this journey has taught me that it is ok to put yourself before your sport and your sport does not make you. you are more than your sport and have so many people who love and support you in so many other ways outside of that. i cannot thank everyone enough for always being there for me and helping me through the many ups and downs. to my coaches for always being there to support me and keep pushing me, but also allowing me to try and enjoy the sport without all the added pressure, i will forever be grateful for you. to my family who always came to cheer me on and did not define me by a time i put up on the board, thank you. to all the friends and family i made because of swimming, i love you guys. go mavs forever🫶 #mentalhealthmatters 🩵 by @ryleetrojan
