It’s more than pickleball:

I’m constantly amazed by my kids, Lily and JR, who seem to bounce around with us effortlessly. While I feel like I’ve hit a wall at times, they just keep pushing forward. Their 8-0 performance last week in Chicago earned my utmost respect. They looked so composed and in control, an incredible achievement considering all they’ve done leading up to it. Traveling from England to Turkey, Germany, and finally into Chicago, they approached each stop with an open mind and excitement to hang out with friends and play pickleball. Truly remarkable!
A lot still ahead for this year but my kids lead the way in showing me how it’s done. Head down and play ball 🦾🦾

Great players recognize patterns early and adjust their game style towards their advantage. For example if one player prefers and excels with speedups, maybe slow ball down. If someone prefers the slower game, maybe speed it up at them. If someone’s getting all your drives, maybe drop the ball more etc..Always watch what’s happening and make adjustments and don’t go into each game with same style as each player is different.
