thank you to the legend @straycircuits for this absolute beauty, the Dimed Penny :) a custom one off of their Tabby Terror pedal, this thing is pretty on the outside with a demon on the inside... kinda like the cat on the front of it. i've gotten to use this on a few tracks already and i'm absolutely in love with it, thank you again Stray Circuits for this beast of a pedal by @rylo.heagy

god damn okay. @friedgameboy and i have been making records together for almost a decade now. but today, hands down the best one is finally out. we started to work on this album in the early days of 2024, but we ended up pulling from ideas and full demos as far back as five years ago when crafting the songs. it's been an absolute journey, and i loved every part of it.

and it was made even better by getting to add two of my real life brothers into the equation. my goat @drewontheinternet on the mix, and the final boss of music himself @willyipmusic on the master. i'm so grateful for both of those legends, and im eternally grateful to @abacotband for having the trust in me to produce and engineer this record.

i didn't get around to posting much last year but i got to help make a lot of great music with some of my best friends. most of it hasn't come out yet! but some did:

a pair of releases from my two favorite metalcore bands, @balisonghc and @denouement.hc

"you signed your life away to rock and roll and chevrolet" - @combatbaltimore dropped their debut LP today. last november, we spent the week of thanksgiving locked in a studio working on it. it was an honor to get to work as a producer on this record with such a talented energetic group of kids. this record is filled with hooks and riffs and ambition, and was one of the most inspiring projects i've gotten to be a part of. my bro @fuck_garfield absolutely killed it engineering this thing, and my longtime goat bestie @drewontheinternet mixed the fuck out of it. thank you to the whole combat crew for trusting me enough to be a part of this special album 💛 by @rylo.heagy

it's hard to believe it's been a year since we lost my cousin TJ. i haven't talked much about it publicly, but i think it's finally time.

TJ deBlois was my hero, my champion and the person who opened up the world of music to me. From my earliest days, he supported me before there was any reason to, and I am sure i'd never become the musician and person i am today without him in my life.

T always had a way of making you feel like the goat every time you talked to him. he always wanted to know what you were up to and always wanted to hype up what you were doing, no matter how big or small. he showed me the ropes of DIY punk music and encouraged me to pursue it every time i would show him something i was working on.

his loss has taken a toll on much of our family, and times throughout the last year i've thought about quitting music altogether. I always knew his absence would hit me the most when i had something to share with him, but couldn't. and anytime i thought something cool was coming up, or if i was writing a song, that feeling stared me right in the face. any joy i would get from creating or performing, or even thinking about music would suddenly be met with that hollow realization that i couldn't share this joy with my cousin. the light in my world has been dimmed this last year, and it's been tougher than ever to get up for anything. but still throughout this all, i've kept going because it's what he wanted for me more than anything in the world

selfishly, i miss having that beacon of light to turn to in those times, but more than anything i miss late nights chopping up about music, looking up at the stars and talking about bullshit sci-fi theories, and leaving family gatherings to go get cheesesteaks. i miss when "see you soon" meant See You Soon

the first frame is us with my younger brother, outside my aunt's house. the second is TJ drumming for Thin Lips in a gami shirt. the third is me covering TJ's band, Like Lions, one of the most formative bands for me growing up.

I'll love you forever T, and i'll never stop speaking about how great you are and bragging about you being my cousin by @rylo.heagy

huge day for @abacotband

@friedgameboy and i have been working to get these songs out for the last year, and i couldn't be happier with this promo. Claudio came to me with these tracks in late 2022 and it was a blast to lend a hand in production and recording! and it's always a pleasure to work with the goat @owenxtraynor who mixed and mastered these puppies!
