proof of life outside the corporate email inbox and academic discussion boards by @ryman.taylor

As i’ve taken some time to reflect on the closing curtains in this chapter of my life, I feel an overwhelming sense of pride and gratitude as I walk away from friends, faculty, and peers who have loved me so well these last four years. trevecca wasn’t kidding when they said this hill was a place of calling to becoming.

I now have a voice that doesn’t shake when I tell the truth or speak up on behalf of others. I have the confidence to follow my dreams bravely, boldly, and without apology.

It is with great joy that I get to say that this spring, I stepped into what has truly been a dream role in Human Resources at GraceWorks Ministries, where I have been entrusted with meaningful work and given the freedom to lead, create, and improve. I get to shape our employee experience, while helping manage a team of more than 70 staff members. I build with purpose while cultivating a culture of unreasonable hospitality. The last four years somehow led me here, and i’m so honored to be trusted with such a central role with the most incredibly supportive team there is. Somewhere along the way, the girl who just wanted to prove herself became a young woman confident in what she brings to the table.

…and somehow, the journey is just beginning!!
this fall, I’ll be returning to Trevecca to pursue a Master’s in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. I am excited to keep learning, keep growing, and continue becoming the kind of leader that revolutionizes workplace hospitality and intentionality.

Here’s to carrying the lessons from the hill into whatever comes next🥂 by @ryman.taylor
