Freshman season! 🎾 -I’ve always had a love for my sport, i’ve played on and off for forever now, it feels like. This year I grew more love and more affection for tennis than I ever have! I met the most beautiful, amazing, talented girls this year. I wanted to give thanks to my coaches, to my teammates, and to my amazing family, and friends who were there each and every match supporting me and guiding me through it all. I love you all. As Winnie Pooh would say “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” I am beyond lucky to have someone like you in my life.. even though you will no longer be in Christiansburg, no longer be a teacher at our school, and no longer be the best coach a girl could ever have, I know we will still be apart of each others lives and for that i’ll forever be grateful. Thank you for being there for me, your team, and students when they needed you the most, thank you for being the best role model, supporter, listener and mentor. Thank you for being so uplifting, supporting , understanding, kind, caring, loving, and for being the best person/teacher/ coach, someone could ever have in life. You make such an incredible impact on the lives of people you meet and interact with, you Alex have inspired me and helped me become a better person, you’ve made me see life a little brighter, and helped me gain so much more love for the sport i’ve been with since a young age and for everything you’ve done for me i couldn’t thank you enough. Yes, Goodbyes are extremely difficult especially saying goodbye to someone you have gotten so close with and love endlessly, but i’m so happy for you and all the incredible memories we made together, there was never a dull moment. I love you and i’m so happy you made the best decision for YOU! i’m gonna miss you bunches!! Thank you always! I’m so thankful. So thankful for the best week, so thankful for the amazing girls who I was surrounded by, so thankful for the two best leaders ever, so thankful for the memories that were made, and so thankful for the beautiful word of God. Not only did i gain an amazing relationship with my younglife leader, i met amazing people, and learned so much more about God. You are not too far gone.. even if you have turned your back away from God, even if you chose not to accept his invitation, or sin again and again, he’s still facing you, he still loves you, and will wait for you no matter how long that may be. Jesus died on the cross for us, he went through so much pain, suffering, absolute torture, he wasn’t FORCED but he WILLINGLY did it for us. We aren’t perfect, half of the world still doesn’t believe in him and he knew that but he still died for us, half the time we sin against him, or turn our backs away from him, but even then he still chooses to forgive us, he waits with his arms wide open if you choose to run back to him. He’s waiting for you. Thank you rockbridge, thank you work crew, thank you tomy amazing friends, a big thank you to the amazing younglife leaders, and a huge thank you to my family for paying for me and letting me experience something i’ll never forget.
