year 1-4, industrial design, ‘22-‘26.

Decided to give industrial design a shot because since when I was a teen I had a fascination for utility in consumer goods. Specifically in clothing and in that time it slowly shifted towards electronics and the interior design of stores and boutiques. Learned about the Bauhaus, Dieter Rams, Alvar Aalto furniture and architecture, Jony Ive era Apple products all on my own on the internet and gained more sentience on what I was actually buying and using.

Broke away from being a business student at WPU after talking to a friend who was a Product Design alumni at MSU and walked my ass up to the second floor of Finley Hall in 2022. From there on out I sketched out millions of ellipses and straight lines, designed some of my own consumer goods like an air quality sensor that looks like a house, a chair, a 70’s inspired chronograph watch for a company, a redesign of the INGERSOLL RAND 2235TiMAX 1/2” DRIVE AIR IMPACT TOOL WRENCH IN COLLABORATION WITH THE POWER TOOL COMPANY INGERSOLL RAND, and a design thinking tool. I also had an opportunity to own an office studio space for junior - senior year. Pretty much was a second home for me. And was my second heart.

Thank you to my fellow designers in my class, my friends and colleagues who Ive met here in my time at MSU, the people who have came and gone, and of course my family. Love you all always, and good luck out there. <3

2024 wouldn’t believe the life I’ve lived and the person I am now lol. Legit was one of the worst years so far mentally and I leave traumatized but least I can acknowledge the good in my life and I still love. Thank you to everyone who was here for this year, past and present.

Tokyo, Japan, ‘25 - Akihabara, Ginza, Shibuya, Ueno.

On the 4th day I didn’t feel like a tourist for the fact that I found myself and my brother drinking and eating with another group of people at a random izakaya in an alleyway of Ueno. They spoke broken English but we understood it all. Some of the topics we discussed was watches, music, and how ass the train stations are. I wont forget that night. I was drunk off two cans of suntory lemon -196 and ate horse meat and katsudon.

Glorious days. by @s.aeji
