Growing up in New York, I was surrounded by Italian food and culture, so naturally I’m always intrigued when I come across an Italian recipe I haven’t tried before.

This Italian egg coffee is made by whipping an egg yolk with sugar until it becomes light, thick and creamy, then adding hot coffee and a splash of half & half. The yolk gives the coffee such a rich, silky texture—and yes, it’s actually SO good. 🤎

Italian Egg Coffee ☕️
• 1 egg yolk
• 1 tbsp sugar
• Hot coffee or espresso
• Splash of half & half

Whip the yolk and sugar until pale and creamy, pour in your hot coffee, add a splash of half & half and enjoy!

And I highly recommend something sweet for dipping!

Pumpkin Biscotti with Maple Glaze 🍁

Inspired by my husband’s grandmother’s traditional biscotti recipe, I wanted to give this family favorite a fall twist.

Ingredients

* 3 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 tsp baking powder
* ½ tsp salt
* 2 tsp cinnamon
* 1 tsp ground ginger
* ½ tsp nutmeg
* ¼ tsp ground cloves
* 2 eggs
* ¾ cup granulated sugar
* ½ cup brown sugar
* ½ cup pumpkin purée
* ½ cup butter, melted and cooled
* 1 tsp vanilla extract

Maple Glaze

* ½ cup powdered sugar
* 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
* 1–2 tsp milk
* Pinch of cinnamon
* Tiny pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and spices.
3. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and sugars until combined. Mix in pumpkin purée, vanilla, and cooled melted butter.
4. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
5. Divide dough into two logs, approximately 10–11 inches long. Flatten slightly and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the centers are fully set.
6. Allow to cool for 10–15 minutes, then slice diagonally into ¾-inch pieces.
7. For traditional crispy biscotti, reduce oven temperature to 325°F. Place slices cut-side down and bake for 10 minutes, flip, and bake another 8–12 minutes. Prefer a softer, more tender biscotti? Skip the second bake!
8. Allow biscotti to cool completely. Whisk together maple glaze ingredients and drizzle over the tops. Let the glaze set before serving.

🍂 I actually love these on the softer side! But if you prefer that traditional biscotti crunch, the second bake is the way to go.

Save this recipe for your next cozy fall baking day!

Zabaglione 🤎 An Italian classic with a fall twist

I paired mine with homemade pumpkin biscotti (recipe coming soon). The warm spices pair beautifully with the rich Marsala Zabaglione.

Zabaglione
4 large egg yolks
¼ cup granulated sugar
⅓ cup Marsala wine
½ tsp vanilla

Instructions:
In a heatproof bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy. Whisk in the Marsala and vanilla. Place the bowl over a pot of gently simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water. Whisk continuously until the Zabaglione is thick, fluffy, and ribbon-like, about 6–8 minutes. Serve warm.

Olive oil + maple syrup + a pinch of salt makes the most delicious caramel-like sauce. 🍨 I love pairing it with chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream—the chocolate and little bits of cookie dough give it the perfect crunch.

Caramel-ish Maple Olive Oil Sauce

* 1/3 cup maple syrup
* 1/4 cup olive oil
* Pinch of flaky sea salt

Whisk it really well until it looks glossy and emulsified, then drizzle over the ice cream.

I’ve never been very good at watching summer end. There’s something about the days getting shorter and another season passing that always makes me a little sad. So instead of trying to rush into fall, I’m reminding myself of all the little things there are to look forward to. 🍂 by @s.e.markle

A little taste of the Jersey Shore at home. 🍅🌿

I had a panzanella salad while we were at the Jersey Shore this summer and knew I wanted to recreate my own version when we got home. I added blackened chicken to make it a full meal, and it might be one of my new favorite summer dinners.

Fresh tomatoes, cucumber, basil, mozzarella and toasted bread tossed in a simple lemon dressing—the bread soaks up all of those fresh summer flavors. 🤍

Panzanella Salad
• 3 tomatoes, chopped
• ½ loaf bread, cubed
• ½ red onion, thinly sliced
• 1 cucumber, chopped
• 8 oz fresh mozzarella, cubed or torn
• 1 cup fresh basil

Lemon Dressing
• ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
• ¼ cup olive oil
• ½ tsp honey
• ¼ tsp salt
• Black pepper, to taste

Whisk together until combined.

Blackened Chicken
• Chicken breasts
• 2 tsp smoked paprika
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp onion powder
• ¼ tsp oregano
• ¼ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp black pepper
• ¼ tsp cayenne pepper

Combine the spices and generously coat the chicken. Cook in a hot skillet until browned and cooked through, then let it rest before slicing.

Toast the bread cubes with a little olive oil until golden and crisp. Add them to a large bowl with the tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, mozzarella and basil. Pour over the lemon dressing and toss everything together. Top with the sliced blackened chicken and serve.

Save this one for an easy late-summer dinner. 🍅

One of those recipes I come back to every summer. 🍅🌿

I’ve been making this for years, and it’s still one of my favorite ways to turn a few simple ingredients into something SO good.

Pesto, Tomato & Goat Cheese Baguette

Ingredients:
• 1 baguette, sliced in half lengthwise
• 3 tbsp softened butter
• ⅓ cup pesto
• 2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 4–6 oz goat cheese
• Balsamic glaze

Directions:
Sauté the tomatoes in olive oil for about 5–7 minutes, until softened and starting to blister.

Spread the baguette with butter, followed by pesto. Spoon the warm tomatoes over the top and add the goat cheese.

Place under the broiler for 3–5 minutes, watching closely, until the edges are toasted and the goat cheese begins to brown.

Finish with a drizzle of balsamic glaze, slice and serve warm.

Save this one for the next time you need an easy appetizer. 🍅

One of our favorite family recipes 🤍

We’ve always called this Cold Cut Bread—layers of provolone, salami, and ham wrapped up in pizza dough and baked until golden. It’s delicious warm, but just as good cold, which makes it perfect for lunch boxes.

And don’t let the dough intimidate you! You can find bags of fresh, ready-to-use pizza dough in the refrigerated section of most supermarkets.

Cold Cut Bread

• 1 lb prepared pizza dough
• ½ lb sliced provolone
• ¼–⅓ lb sliced salami
• ¼–⅓ lb sliced ham
• 2 tbsp olive oil

Roll out the dough. Layer the provolone, salami, and ham down the center, then fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges well.

Rub the outside of the bread with olive oil and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes, or until beautifully golden brown.

Let it cool slightly before slicing.

The amount of meat and cheese is approximate and will depend on how large you roll out your dough.

Perfect for lunch, an easy dinner, or slicing up to share. Save this one for later! 🤍

Forever finding reasons to romanticize the ordinary. 🌸

The flowers. The farm stands. The summer nights. The little things that would be so easy to pass by.

Turns out, everyday life can feel a little like a fairytale if you let it. ✨ by @s.e.markle

If you have leftover spaghetti sitting in the fridge, this is one of the easiest ways to make it feel like a brand-new meal. Creamy, cheesy, and ready in minutes—it’s one of those recipes I keep coming back to.

🍝 Easy Pink Sauce

Ingredients

* 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
* 1 cup heavy cream
* ½–¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
* Salt & black pepper, to taste
* Basil (optional)

Instructions

1. Pour the jar of marinara sauce into a saucepan and warm over medium heat.
2. Stir in the heavy cream until fully combined.
3. Add the Parmesan a little at a time, stirring until melted and smooth.
4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Toss with your favorite cooked pasta and serve with extra Parmesan.

Tip: Freshly grated Parmesan melts much better than pre-shredded cheese and gives the sauce a silky, creamy texture.

✨ Save this for your next pasta night.
