Done with the B.S. 🎓🎉

Today I walked the stage closing my chapter at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and I couldn’t have done it without all the love and support from my family and friends — and my pup, who was there for me through it all. Here’s to the last 4 years! I will always cherish the memories, growth, and moments that made this chapter so meaningful.💛💙

🪞To The UnbreAKAble Zeta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.— Thank you for the memories we’ve made, the bonds we’ve built, and the lessons that shaped me. Thank you for teaching me the true value of sisterhood and the impact that we as black women can make when we stand together. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to be apart of something bigger than myself. An organization that is eager to serve ALL mankind with excellence and love. An Alpha woman embodies grace, resilience, and courage. She sets the standard and keeps it high. And with this chapter as my foundation, I will continue to uphold that standard with pride, purpose, and poise.

🪞To the IconiK Reign of DediKation — I never truly understood sisterhood until I found it in you all. Thank you for being my strength, my laughter, my accountability, and my safe space. While Biology may have taught me about life, Spanish gave me another voice. Studying Spanish became so much more than a minor for me — it became a second way to understand the world and all the living things in it. Each conversation, new word, and moment of confusion that turned into clarity reminded me why I fell in love with the language years ago. It challenged me, stretched me, and opened the door to stories, cultures, and connections I wouldn’t have reached otherwise, including a deeper way to express my love for animals and the life around us. Walking away with this degree feels like carrying two voices, two perspectives, and two ways of seeing the beauty in every creature. Cierro este capítulo con el corazón lleno y la mente ansiosa por más aventuras alrededor del mundo. 🐾🎓🌎

As I walk through my last month of undergrad, I can’t help but reflect on the decision I made 4 years ago to take on a Pre-Professional Biology major. Every long night, every prayer, and every moment of doubt shaped me into who I am today. I studied life to better understand my own, and I’m leaving this chapter stronger, wiser, and grateful for every step that brought me here. Thank you God, for continually proving that You’re a man of Your word. Every cell in my body is screaming: I did it! 👩🏽‍🔬🧬
