It is such an honor to be featured in the October issue for @vaguscreatives Magazine!

How important & intentional this issue closely centers around the topic of healing, introspection, growth, mental health, etc - really warms my soul - as my upcoming second book touches heavily on these topics as well. So, thank you @chelsea.nyomi for considering me to be apart of this one especially.

This is @vaguscreatives 7th issue - I highly recommend you all to check out their other 6 magazines and consider following them. They showcase & celebrate artists & creatives from all over the globe. I will be ordering a print as well because while the quality of this magazine is immaculate in digital form, I’d also like to hold it in my hands. If you would like to order a copy, I’ve included the link in my bio 🤎

I have included a few of my poems that were selected. (The last one - inspired by Kendrick Lamar)😊 by @s.kyxb

this book & this year is very special & I am so grateful to share a piece of my heart with you. a look into my mind. a journey through my healing. a seat in front of the fight it took for me to be where I am today. alive. renewed. surrounded by love. home. I truly hope you enjoy it. I love you all and I appreciate your support, always ☁️🤎 by @s.kyxb

still hungover, thinking of New York City. As we navigated different parts of NYC, my boo kept asking me if I felt like I was in NYC yet, if it felt real. I felt sad because I kept saying it felt like home. So the novelty wasn’t there. It was only when I left, that I started to feel like a part of me was missing. Him & the familiarity of being in a relatively big city. 🥺 I really do love NYC 🫶🏽🤍 #nyc #poetry #newyork by @s.kyxb

no words lately but here’s something. by @s.kyxb

when I say easy, I mean effortlessly. I mean, like muscle memory. I mean something that doesn’t require you to dig deeper to find the words, it’s always at the tip of your tongue. if you love love. because you love love. ☁️🍯

You ever subconsciously use a word that you have no recollection of learning? “Devoid” … i wrote this poem & then went to google this word & it means exactly what was intended but i have no recollection of ever learning it. Could be from reading too much. Or spiritually, as I believe, my words are gifted to me 🥺☁️🤍 #poetry #poetryreels by @s.kyxb

how could lies make love so sweet. is it you that I mourn or the façade you created? by @s.kyxb
